Good to know I'm not alone with having a bench that's organized chaos. And please make that mech skull a kit.

I'm glad I'm not the only one too! You're not the only one to mention the mech skull. I'll get it sorted :)

Great to see all your current projects! The variety in skulls is really cool. As someone who also has an affinity for skulls I must say I love your creativity! When the Mecha skull is finished I'll be buying that straight away! If you decide to make a rams skull or any other animal skulls I'll keep my eyes peeled for those too. I thought it looked good but you didn't seem happy with it. Great to see your parts for your mech this year! Will you be incorporating any of your sculpting talents to your mech? Maybe a few skulls 😏? I love the crossover between the two "genres".

Cheers Kamm, I'll let you know once the mecha skulls are available :) Yeah the ram skull needs some refinement I think - I think the horns need to be curlier too ;) I was thinking about trying to incorporate some sculpture into the mech for this year, but the bits I've put together so far aren't looking like it'd work with them. You never know though!

Love seeing all your projects, and of course the busy workbench 😁. Mine is the same. Regarding the nice anodized aluminum finish, maybe try mixing some inks into a metallic, like Vallejo? Getting it that smooth with thin coats might be hard...

Thanks Chris, glad I'm not the only one with an untidy desk ;) Yeah it's a good idea - I was wondering about painting it in metallic colours and then airbrushing a glaze over the top. I think I've seen people use inks in a similar way so definitely worth a try.

I was seeing more of a pelvis for that last mecha part. Two hip joints to the side and a spine going up. Watching clouds and seeing castles :)

Yeah that would totally work too ;)

Great stuff! I actually like your ram skull, reminds me of Skeletors staff. Also I really dig the new funky intro too! Pinheads are ace too from last week, wish I had the spare £££s at the moment. .. have you ever seen an animated movie from the 80s called STARCHASER: the legend of Orin? There's a few creepy cyborgs in it (also briefly in the trailer) like a cyborg monkey, but they scavenge the flesh from their victims and fight over it. Still quite eerie now. Would be a great inspiration for a sculpt. Worth checking out, as you like robots and skulls/zombies etc..

Cheers Micky. Yeah I just googled it, they do look pretty freaky, especially for a kids show! Might be the good basis for a skull themed project though ;)

@@thedarkpower yeah, it's a cross between star wars and heavy metal. Actually the whole film is on KZbin.

Great update on your projects. What happened to the large space marine bust you were doing? Also idea for a skull- phrenology diagrams.
@thedarkpower2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I think I did consider doing a bust didn't I, haven't got around to that yet though. Hmm, phrenology skulls are a good idea. Cheers!
