Back in the day, there were anti-littering ads in the US where someone threw trash out of a car window and then it panned up to a Native American with a tear in their eye. The camel friend was Joe Cool, the mascot for Camel cigarettes. He was brought down by appealing to kids.

You guys probably aren't old enough to remember Joe Camel, the cartoon mascot for Camel cigarettes- He was in every Camel ad for years until parents groups filed a lawsuit. Joe Camel was spoofed in some early episodes of The Simpsons, too- He can be seen throwing packs of Laramie cigarettes out to kids in the episode where Lisa enters the beauty pageant.

RJ is named for RJ Reynolds, owner of Marlboro cigarettes, and is modeled after the classic “marlboro man” from the old cowboy-themed ads. Joe Camel was a way-cool camel designed to market camel cigarettes to minors.

I generally listened to metal and punk as a teenager, so I didn’t really get how a jazz musician camel was supposed to appeal to me.

They are laughing not realising the meaning of "just made love second time"... wait till it be explained in later episode!
@gurvmlk25 күн бұрын
That said, I still think the joke works just as well without that context. Implying that Kif's love life has been so pitiful, that he thinks merely kissing qualifies as making love. Or, if not necessarily thinks that, he's willing to accept it as qualifying.

At least the content you're stealing was made by a large network who won't really care about your theft.

They're not "stealing" anything. You're allowed to show 10-15 minutes of clips of a tv show if you're adding commentary. Which is what they're doing. 🙄 It's not illegal and it's not considered theft, so why are you even bringing this up? Especially considering how wrong you are?
@NickyDusse8 ай бұрын
@@LadyBeyondTheWall I *highly* doubt you're legally allowed to upload almost half an entire show for free by adding your "commentary". Just because KZbin allows this theft doesn't make it legal nor moral. Are they transforming the content they're watching by interjecting their uninformed opinions? Of course not lmao please show me the law that allows the theft of other people's work as long as you show under 15 minutes of it hahaha
@LadyBeyondTheWall8 ай бұрын
@@NickyDusse ffs. Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976 allows for "fair use" of the content for the purposes of comment and criticism. Which includes what you've randomly decided is "uninformed opinions". Edit: Not to mention, "Fair Use" is especially allowed when it's not for profit, and these channels don't profit at all when they're reacting to copyrighted content. Which is why so many of them create their own merch and make use of Patreon in order to make money for the time it takes to do all of this. So honestly, what's your problem?
@LadyBeyondTheWall8 ай бұрын
@@NickyDusse So I mean, since I showed you what law allows channels to do this do you still think it's somehow illegal or is it just down to "immoral" now?

@@NickyDussehave you been under a rock? Reaction channels have been around for almost a decade. And went through legal changes to the site because of them in that time period.
