Prayer for Holy Week "Mshiho dab-Hashe" (Christ by His suffering) in Syriac/Aramaic with transcription and English translation
from the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch
This prayer replaces the Trisagion during the Holy Week. The first paragraph of the prayer changes during the Services of the Holy Week.
The prayer in English:
O Christ, Who by His suffering saved us from deception.
Accept our worship and have mercy upon us.
Glory to You, O Lord, honor to Your Father,
worship and exaltation to the Holy Spirit.
Have mercy and compassion upon us sinners.
May the gates of Heavenly Jerusalem be opened,
and may our prayers come before the Throne of Christ.
Glory to You, our Lord.
Glory to You, our Hope.
Forever.

Can anyone that speaks Classical Syriac teach me how to pronounce ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ (which I think means "fear not" or "be not afraid" or "don't fear" in English)? I tried listening to a reading of Luke 2 in Classical Syriac but I just couldn't discern the phrase from betwixt the passage.

I am not so educated in grammar, but from what I know and can find when looking into this. In Western-Syriac ܠܐ ܬܕܚܠ is pronounced "Lo Tedhal". It is the imperfect form of the verb ܕܚܶܠ (Dhel) in singular In Luke 2:10 you read ܠܳܐ ܬ݁ܶܕ݂ܚܠܽܘܢ which is pronounced "Lo Tedhlun" which is the imperfect form of the verb in plural. Someone more competent can maybe correct me if I am wrong.
