Projekts "Baltic 100"

2024. gada aprīlī noslēdzas trīs gadu zinātnisks projekts, kurā Vidzemes Augstskolas, Viļņas Universitātes, Tartu Universitātes un Norvēģijas Ekonomikas augstskolas zinātnieki apkopojuši sociālekonomisko attīstību raksturojošus kvantitatīvus datus par Latviju, Lietuvu un Igauniju no 1920. līdz 2020. gadam.
Projekta gaitā izveidota datu bāze un datu katalogs (baltic100.va.lv), kurā visiem interesentiem ir pieejami zinātnieku apkopotie kvantitatīvie dati par Baltijas valstīm un to reģioniem. Datu sērijās pieejama informācija par iekšzemes kopproduktu, nodarbinātību, demogrāfiskajām tendencēm un lauksaimniecību. Šo datu analīze ļauj labāk izprast Baltijas valstu attīstības tendences pēdējos 100 gados, kā arī tās salīdzināt ar citiem Eiropas un pasaules reģioniem. Liela daļa apkopoto datu ir pieejama arī Baltijas valstu reģionu griezumā, kas ļauj analizēt reģionālo nevienlīdzību un to ietekmējošus faktorus.
Projekts “Kvantitatīvie dati par sociālajām un ekonomiskajām transformācijām trīs Baltijas valstu reģionos pēdējos simts gados vēsturisko transformāciju analīzei un nākotnes izaicinājumu pārvarēšanai” (Nr. EEA-RESEARCH-174, 2021-2024) ir viens no Baltijas pētniecības programmas projektiem, ko finansiāli atbalsta Eiropas Ekonomikas zonas (EEZ) granti.

We are inviting you to explore Data Catalogue of the project "Quantitative Data about Societal and Economic Transformations in the Regions of the Three Baltic States during the Last Hundred Years for the Analysis of Historical Transformations and the Overcoming of Future Challenges" - BALTIC 100 (No. EEA-RESEARCH-174, 2021-2024).
This database has been created to make various quantitative data about the three Baltic States Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia more accessible to the wider public, for the period 1920-2020. A large part of this data is available not only at the national level, but also at the regional level and within the administrative boundaries that were valid in 2020 (NUTS3 statistical and planning regions). This means that policy planners and implementers, as well as other interested parties, have access to information about long-term development trends in specific regions of the Baltic States. For example, comparing population and age structure, land use and number of farm animals, yields and productivity. Also national and regional gross domestic product per capita. This database will be a good helper for everyone who tries to analyze from a media literacy perspective whether any interpretation of our history is based on facts and data, or can be categorized as disinformation.
BALTIC 100 is one of the projects of the Baltic Research Program, which was financially supported by European Economic Area (EEA) grants. The project was implemented by Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Vilnius University, University of Tartu and the Norwegian School of Economics.
