This video was a great help, made the filter change that much easier.

David, Thanks, This looks a lot easier than some of the older Volvo models. Knowing what is ahead is a great advantage in doing these jobs. The comparison with the after market is very interesting.

Thank you. I did mess up the orientation. The aftermarket arrow is the air flow direction and the Volvo arrow is an orientation indicator. They are opposite of each other. Good luck and I hope all goes well for you.

An interesting thing is that I do not talk when around others but, I cannot seem to shut up when I make a video.

Hi David, do you really sure that 191026 really means expiration date? My dealer said that it means nothing related to a date.However if this is date,are you sure that 191026 means October 19, 2026 not October 26, 2019?And where did you get this information from?Thank you!
@maxwell-um6ey2 жыл бұрын
The car symbol with an arrow shows the installation direction, but the actual air flow is in the opposite direction. Aftermarket filters have arrows for the flow direction, in which case the arrows should point towards the blower motor.

Excellent. You are correct in pointing out this error in my video. I plan on making another video with the correct information the next time I change out the ACC Filter. Thank you for taking the time to leave you very good comment.

The one which is made in China has only a single layer of activated carbon whereas the Volvo original has 2 layers (front and back). I confirmed this cost reduction with a famous Volvo parts reseller in China. The part number hasn't changed but the cost reduction happened. For the filter, you can find a really good Hengst one from FCP Euro for a cheaper price.

Thank you so much, you make it look so simple. I have a 2019 S60. I have not change cabin air and engine air filter since I bought it.I only have 4017 miles on it. Do you think I should replace them now?
@A_Renaissance_Man11 ай бұрын
With those hours, I doubt the filter is in need of replacement. You can always inspect the filter first. You can buy one and keep it in the garage or trunk until you need it. This item is not a time issue like tires, oil and brake fluid are.

How about showing the part where you have to remove two screws and the panel?

That is fine. I just need to see installation info not like weighing bananas. I am a TV producer and have no tolerance for these over talked KZbin. I showed this to Volvo tech and he agreed with me. Quit trying to be video stars and show the job at hand.

European dating is Day, Month, Year. I am second generation European, German and Hungarian and my wife is second generation Italian. These filters are made in Hungry and both Hungry and Sweden follow the DD/MM/YYYY system.
