Oh my, yes! That Muti/Philadelphia recording of the 3rd is incredible! Sold me on the work.

The Nagano love for 3 oranges is available in the Big Warner Prokofiev box, agreed that it’s an excellent performance, and that box is one of the best in the Warner composer editions. Resubmitting the request for the best Prokofiev symphony cycles video, or at least a few more individual symphony videos. Also, can’t wait for the review of the new Turangalila symphony with Boston and Yuja Wang!

Hoping Winter Bonfire gets a mention in the last group. So much fun!

Morning Dave. Have really enjoyed all your Prokofiev's Overflow room videos, and the return of the tam-tam (missing the cats). To my shock I noticed I was missing his Piano Sonatas!!!. I'll check the early ones again to see if there are other artists. Bronfman is my choice now, but I need more. Thank you for showing most of it all. Amazing stuff.

With Prokofiev, Ravel and Stravinsky you did a wonderful set of random reviews! A set for the ages!

I was so disappointed when the pandemic axed the Met's premiere of Fiery Angel. Consoled myself with the Gergiev but the Jarvi is great too. The male lead, Ruprecht, easily wins the title prize, The Biggest Chump in All Opera. P.S. I just finished listening to the Prokofiev Symphony-Concerto and 2nd cello sonata with Han-na Chang and Pappano on EMI which I bought on your say-so. You were so right. I was simply stunned by her amazing playing and performance and Pappano's support.

It's a real toss-up between hearing the tam-tam and seeing the two cats. Either way, the videos keep me coming back! Wesley

Love me some tam - tam in the overflow room, but don't want the sweet cats freaked out. Since it's winter/holiday season you could bring out the sleigh bells 😮
