my biggest problem is I know how to ocupy a window but I don't know hot to make the window, like how many do I need on a page? Do I need a lot? Based on what do I do the windows, should I be more efficient with them? Do as many as I can, or as little? To me, manga has perfected this to an incredible degree, they can convey so much with as little as a sketch but a sketch looking so good that it just works.

If you have no talent start by tracing. No matter what anyone says tracing is fine if you dont have any type of knowledge on how to approach drawing. Trace the same photo over and over until you kind of understand the muscle memory for it and then try drawing it without tracing the best you can. If you keep at it consistently you'll eventually develop some skill. Talent is just having some skill already without having to work hard. I believe in you go out there and draw. Lol believe in the me that believes in you

How do you deal with fat? And also why super hero has a big and open rib cage while in proko the torax is draw with a more closed angle
@bawrbxokurdistan84863 жыл бұрын
Someone asked him about that he said " this is anatomically not correct I draw the ribcage like this to make characters look bigger and more powerful and it gives me room to play with the shadows on the ribcage and stomach " after that he sketched out two characters that ware the same size to explain it and to be honest the normal body looked smaller than the one with the open ribcage even though they were the same size .... and David is not the only one who does that look at jem Lee his superheros have a similar thing going on :)

@@bawrbxokurdistan8486 wow thank you very much I spent hours looking for this answer
@springthyme5013 жыл бұрын
As bawr mentioned above, it's a common stylisation among comic book artists for their male heroes. David, Jim Lee and I think Clay Mann are all solid examples of using this. It makes the figure appear to have more mass, and they also tend to simplify and flatten the pectorals so they don't have to worry as much about their shape in various arm positions. Not everyone does this though. Greg Capullo, Jorge Jimenez and Dan Mora are some examples of great modern comic artists who draw more conventional pecs and ribcage. In short, if you like it use it. If you don't, leave it.
@bawrbxokurdistan84863 жыл бұрын

I'm sorry, but I just see that you can draw various arbitrary shapes vaguely around various arbitrary points. Triangles, circles, squears, diamonds. 1, 2, 5... Like the one with the the guy with the gun. that gun was jutting right out of the diamond, like it didn't matter. You're clearly skilled at sketching, and I'm sure there's a method here, but it just looks so vague and arbitrary that it's all gibberish. Like several of those triangle poses. Those weren't triangles. they were upside down Y's at best. Or a triangle with a squear on top. I keep seeing this same advice about drawing in basic shapes, and it just frustrates me because I simultaniously see a dozen different shapes in those examples. Like the Y example I just gave.
