Wow, great harvest. Very inspiring. My mom has been growing sweet potato slips as ornamentals forever. Next year I'll get some and actually plant them to grow some actual sweet potatoes. Well...try at least!

Amazing harvest. Lots of sweet potatoes to for eating. They store well. I had some in a box in the dark and they lasted a really long time. It was so funny you had to put the rooster in time out.😂🤣

Si glad you were using the spape thingy. I was kinda of afraid you'd peel a fingernail back by doing it the other way. Thar was another healthy harvest! You've given me a few ideas for next year. If all goes well and Lord's will, I am going to plant sweet potatoes in the raised bed where the temperatures are much to high for my other vegetables. Any who... you'll have plenty sweet potatoes! 😂👍👍👍💛🙏

Jamerica, I had to roll the video back twice to look at you and your rooster scuffling, LOL. Once you mentioned the frying pan he chilled out. When you left, Filamina looked into the camera and said, "She'll be right back y'all". I truly enjoy your videos.

Sweet Potatoes are part of the morning glory family, regular potatoes are in the nightshade family. I have seen videos where they planted sweet potatoes and not slips and then wonder why their yield is bad. I have planted a sweet potato in my flower bed for the vine for the beauty not food. I also have put a couple of sweet potatoes with just a couple inches of soil over, in a bare spot in flower bed and broke off the slips as they formed put in a glass of water until I had enough to plant and also it lets the roots form.

Thanks, now i know why i shouldnt wet the soil before a harvest..

@@MariThomas01 You’re right it was a sprinkler adjustment. ( someone moved the sprinkler ) that made harvesting harder. 🙏

It seems like digging into the clay soil would hurt your hands. Do you soak them after you finish? By the way, that is a great harvest.
