People please teach your kids to speak up in situations like this. I'm not saying judge Mathis was right because I feel like he was totally wrong for bashing the mom about going to Panama. He has kids and he knows how kids are especially if they've been raised to not "talk back" to adults. I was raised that way and my mom didn't tell me until I was 18 that it was "ok" to speak up for myself. Even now, at 25 I still have difficulty sometimes because I don't want to come off as disrespectful. The point is, Mathis knows that the daughter probably said that she liked it because of the exact reason I just explained.

Honestly the seamstress should’ve ordered the feathers. It’s very hard to order something that you have no experience in ordering. The plaintiff could of reimbursed the seamstress for the feathers later. She knew what feathered needed to be ordered. It’s irresponsible to place blame on someone with no expertise. She’s making her self and business look bad by not being accountable. Humble yourself and learn from your mistakes.

The seamstress should charge more for her services and require parents to sign approving dress before delivering the prom dress. Because you get a difficult person & you could get stuck making so many changes that you don't have time for any other customers. In the end they got a free dress if the daughter wore it to prom.

This project should have been started much earlier to allow time to make the changes that might would have come up. People are so damn extra..Make it do and move on

If they weren’t the right size feathers she told her to purchase, say that BEFORE putting them on the dress. Furthermore, she didn’t even flare the dress as requested. Just be honest upfront if you cannot do something.

This coming confirms why I will never do alterations. Instead of trying to cut corners, the mom should have purchased that exact dress. Also, the feathers fly out because they are layered and close to the floor. The feathers are fanned out in the picture like you do wedding dress train.

That's when the seamstress says "these aren't the right size". The mom said she didn't know anything about what to buy.

I’ve had dresses made by people and I’ve NEVER had to buy my own materials, that is HER job. How do you expect someone that knows nothing about that to buy the correct materials. She showed the woman what feathers she bought and she still put them on the dress. If they were wrong she should’ve told her.

Disappointed; the defendant should have won. If the daughter paid, the defendant thought it was fine and naturally booked up her schedule as normal. She doesn't have to delay other clients because of this.

The dress is gorgeous...the Judge Mathis should have had the young lady try on the dress for the court. People stop using fb to defame folks.
