Prom Dress Surprise!

Our daughter had no idea we had already gotten her dream dress for the prom we originally said no to. Then, punked her with one of mom's old dresses from the 70's!

She is seriously the sweetest thing. I loved her reaction to both dresses, and her concern for not wanting to hurt your feeling. I have 8 nieces, and a few are teenagers already, so believe me when I say, that reaction is not typical! I pray my daughter is as sweet as yours when she's that age.

That's a baby girl raised to be respectful even when she thinks she has to wear the old dress. I remember going shopping for my prom dress and trying to be cautious of the price so not to upset my mother. When you love your parents and respect them, good things will come.

When the mom tried to convince her daughter to wear it by saying "But I wore this dress to MY prom" I thought the daughter was going to say "Yeah, that's why I don't want to wear it! Why would I want to wear something that's 30 years old??!" But instead she told her mom, "That's sweet, but but but...." They raised this girl well. They are a great family all around

Having so many experiences that have touched my heart was granting your daughter the prom dress that she really wanted that would make any father cry when he tells his daughter that it was your moms Idea with her mom tried hard to get her attention away from what was coming in . Nice job both of you that your daughter will love you forever and to meet the meet the boy that she is going the only way that she has the proper person that she is going with . This right here was one of the best that I have ever seen that most daughters they save for a prom dress yet this was very special to make her daughter happy from the teers in thge eys and the look of Oh my Gosh that says it all .

My prom dress was awesome, but I don't have any daughters, so I can't pull this trick off. My sister and I split the $600 dress price, we wore to two different proms. I thought the daughter was sweet about it and very humble and appreciative that her parents got her dream prom dress for her. Sweet video!

@@boxerdogluv I don't know if you can share it on the Community part of your KZbin channel? I have seen people sharing photos to KZbin so there is definitely a way to do it. I can bet she looked as amazing as she is, such a beautiful reaction, my girls aren't even old enough for Prom yet but I managed to get their dresses for a great deal as they were selling wedding stock in a local Charity Shop. They absolutely love them so hopefully they still will when they're older lol they also have the option of wearing my wedding dress which is Gold but if they want something different that's fine as they are my babies. The year I was supposed to go to Junior Prom, my family was in a Baptist church that was so hyper strict in its dress codes, they really wanted all of us girls to wear long sleeves year round. My parents simply couldn't afford expensive clothes right then, so Mom and I went to a really good thrift store that carried clothes that had been well cared for during their uses, and there were only two dresses that were my size (I was very small then). One was in my favorite shade of pink, but because we were now going to a church-sponsored event, not the prom (the church did that deliberately), I couldn't get that one, it being "too revealing" (which it most certainly was not!) Since I didn't want to be a brat, I told Mom I'd just take the other one---an absolutely hideous thing in lime green with giant white polka dots all over, a white collar, and white-cuffed short sleeves. Mom was so grateful that I didn't put up a fuss, she let me wear one of her prized necklaces from her wonderful collection of costume jewelry, so I chose the emerald and jade one---and it was so gorgeous, I forgot how ugly the dress was, and just enjoyed telling everyone about my mother's generosity. That particular church is also why I'll NEVER set foot in a Protestant church again, and absolutely no Baptist establishments, EVER!!!!
