Proma THC not working while cutting

Do you still have this machine working? Just curious because I purchased a ProCutCNC table as well, and im not getting any support with software. Sheetcam license is invalid now.

@@lxxl9voltslxxl no I sold it a couple years ago. I eventually had it working well. The Pro cut guy seemed pretty useless for customer service. Not sure if it’s better now

Did anyone figure out exactly what the problem was? I’m experiencing the same issue. Proma THC only reads - - - when running a program and no indicator lights or signs of communication during programmed cut. Test mode everything indicates and moves as it should

I think i ended up just starting the THC voltage way higher than recommended and working my way adjusting down so it wouldn't crash. instead it would lift.- Also look at the Hysteresis setting. Its the Lag time on how quickly the THC reacts to the voltage changes. If its too quick the torch height wont work and too slow the torch wont move in Z fast enough to miss warps in the metal.

Welp, I tried adjusting voltage in a range between 90-250v. Still no reading on the Proma readout and no self adjusting occurred. Tried adjusting the “reverse” on mach3 for Z axis. Still nothing. I’m at a loss still. Thanks for your info though

THC Max change on +20mm, 2mm is so small.

The book values on voltage are way off from my actual settings I run. typically my thc voltage value at 90-100v depending on thickness. I think I had my Z switched up and down reversed at this point so it was telling it to go down instead of up to correct the voltage. its somewhere in the settings for Z axis, sorry I cant remember exactly

Watching your videos, I would speculate it can be one of 2 problems...post processer or ground. I am leaning towards the ground, especially if you have more than one power supply which you likely do.

I have the same problem, solving now, I think it is because your THC Min value should be no 0 it shoulde be under zero for example -20 .
