+MrAlcazar On Doubletoasted.com Leon is regular and he uses his real name - Marthyn. Also C. Robert Cargill appeared on a special for Doctor Strange since he is a co-writer on the script, I think.

TheMetalikaH Yeah I know Leon's real name. I didn't know Carlisle was a script writer on Dr. Strange. How awesome.

All they needed to do was to show the discovery of the cave painting in different digs, each a different time frame, showing the change in the planet's positions over time. This would narrow down the location rather than the confusing and weak evidence it shows the audience - but in the modern era the dumbing down has to occur.

Funny, came here from Double Toasted. Looking for Korey's commentary on more ALIEN-related stuff. :)

I am with Co-Host and Leon they do bring up some good answers to some of their questions it's just Cyrus who keeps rejecting the answers to the questions. Guy Pierce's character's motivation and how he wanted to meet his creator because he has more of an egotistical god complex. I mean who wouldn't want to meet God or the people that created us which made sense to me.
@HappyMan02033 жыл бұрын
I have to agree. Cyrus is right in a sense that it's not exactly sensible, but then again humans are not always sensible and often act on impulse.

The movie turns 6 today! I still think it works even if it doesn’t give all the answers

I think that would've been a better choice than Guy Pearce in shitty make-up.

I wish the "bad event" that Co-Host was talking about was in the movie. I WISH that was in the movie, or at the very least they put some hint or explanation into it. The movie as it is, we don't know why they hate us, they just do. And not only is it an explanation, it sounds really good.

Prometheus is officially 10 years old!!! I remember seeing it with my friends Tom and Liz opening weekend My Dad liked the movie too Philosophical, grisly, scary and sprinkled with a reality of science-fiction Origin, purpose, and what comes after is analyzed about mankind greatly Glad to see Ridley Scott return to the genre that made him a household name even if it's very divisive for critics and fans Film Brain got frustrated with the movie as time went on with the plot being nonsensical, the science being very flimsy, the script being a mess, and the characters being idiotic Inverse.com did say it's a better sci-fi flick than 'Alien' The movie accomplished being a visual masterpiece though with some terrific ideas and concepts about faith, creation, evolution, science Michael Fassbender's performance as the android David is amazing next to Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, and Guy Pearce Plus it has the premise of the film concerning the notion of panspermia, the theory that human beings were seeded on Earth by aliens And the art of speculative fiction, the idea that the audience and the characters are actually contemplating big ideas through a sci-fi lens, doesn’t just drive the story, it is the story It's not a bad movie by any means; Scott even admits he missed the mark a few times considering the fans' reactions criticizing the screenplay, characterizations, plot holes, contrivances and the acting but there are still defenses a lot its wild ambitions Glad it didn't kill Ridley Scott's career and it gave birth to the trope of the Prometheus School of Running Away from Things of characters running in a straight line

No! Prometheus is an abomination! It’s just not a bad film it’s one of the worst fucking disasters of a film of all times! The characters are some of the dumbest of all times, the plot makes no fucking sense and the actors are wooden as fuck(expect for maybe Michael fassbender as David). These people are scientist and they do the dumbest shit possible. They do so much unbelievably dumb shit that you can’t buy them as human beings let alone scientist! This film’s science is also very wildly inaccurate and wrong.

When I first saw Prometheus, I was somewhat disappointed. I also felt that the characters went around quite stupidly, especially the guy putting his hand out to the strange worm thing. I, like every other person who knows the Alien franchise, thought that it was dangerous and quite a stupid thing to do. Months later, looking at it again, I realised that the biggest problem with Prometheus is us, the viewers. We all had Alien expectations. To enjoy Prometheus, we have to forget about Ripley's world of horror. This happens before all that so there is innocence of discovery. Just like an explorer we would see on National Geographic, seeing some new creature that does not look like a danger, the explorer may behave the same way as the character did with the wormy thing. And that's just one of many other things that is tainted because we expect this to be a world of danger. The characters do not.

Good points though it shouldn't have been tied in the with the alien franchise just put people's expectations way to high
@la214la8 жыл бұрын
I disagree. I've never seen Alien or Aliens, and I thought Prometheus was dumb. The characters were really stupid. I agree with every point Korey and the other guy made. I esp hated those dudes who got lost even though they made the map of the place. Oh, and David sucked! He was a complete ass from the start!
@alekesam7 жыл бұрын
Ridley never intended for Prometheus to tie into Alien. The suits forced his hand, which is why we got the result we did.

honestly their argument about the film is more in keeping with the tone of the original alien film..just insert the xeno listening in the background waiting to chime in.
