This takes me back to 1987 when I walked into a clothing store in this huge shopping mall and this was playing inside. I still recall the mannequins (the ones who looked like real people back in the day) propped against the walls in different poses. Oh I miss the 80s so much, it was such a fun decade 😸😺

I was about 11 or 12 years old and my mom took my brother and I to 88th street park in Queens and there were cars double parked with teen age guys hanging out uprocking in the street with this song pumping from the car. I watched in awe, loved everything about the beat, song and dance that went with it!!!! I fell in love with freestyle on that day. Still listening in 2017. Awesome memory :)

A hollow haunting rhythmic beat paired with the angst in the female’s voice begging her ex-lover to spend the night. Her halting explanation of her desires strikes a very sad, desperate, melancholy vibe for me. When the male responds positively to her pleas, it is a relief to know that he will give her that night and that he remembers their physical chemistry and connection. This beat and their voices leave me sad because I remember those times in the 80s longing for my lover who was with someone else. I was heartbroken and crushed but when we did reunite a few times, it was magic even if it was just a few hours of physical pleasure and lust.

Always liked this tune since I first heard it in 1987. Upon listening today, I totally feel it is where Company B meets Heaven 17!!!!!!!! Back in the day, I thought it was a follow up to Fascinated by Company B in the summer of 87, but then I heard Full Circle by Company B which was a contemporary of this one, and realized it was a different dance group entirely.
