Words cannot express how much I can fucking relate to this song. Slash's incredible, legendary guitar work, paired with Chris Cornell's raw, distressed, beautiful voice...This entire album is just an amazing piece of art. It helped me get through alot of shit. So I would like to extend a hand to Slash...To simply say thank you. For alot of things.

His voice? Thats the least of chris cornel . it was his mind his musical talent and gift to the world. He heard songs in his head. Music, lyrics and all, playing like a finished song on the radio. He didnt know where they came from, but they came. From his mind, thru the pen to paper. From the paper to his guitar and the song is given its life. Thats the magic of chris cornel. He gave his magic to the world for us to celebrate. ❤

@GTAON777GTAVIDEOS5 жыл бұрын
Amanda Wilson I really like 'Sunshower'... there are a lot of Chris' songs which almost seem to fit with the sad/mysterious events of his passing (almost to an scary level if one allows it to get there)... but for me, 'Sunshower' was the first one that came to my mind... the descending sequence at the end and the overall message of that song just felt like it represented some form of 'closure'... hard to explain really... though it certainly doesn't make accepting he is no longer with us any easier. A huge loss, there is no-one like him
@amandawilson95555 жыл бұрын
@@GTAON777GTAVIDEOS glad to talk to you, as you seem to love his music almost as much (kidding, just as much) as I do. I must admit, I've watched his interviews and heard what his band mates have said about his songs and that there are sometimes deep messages within them, and he admitted in an interview done not too long ago that he has manipulated situations to create lyrics for his songs- what a talent! Anyhow, I don't hear anything too deep within Sunshower, as in the sort you've described it but perhaps this song mirrors his feelings about life in general, and you can hear that in most of his lyrics. What descending sequence at the end are you referring to? "I know all your graces one day one day will flower in a sweet sunshower?" Is this what you're talking about?

When I hear this song I feel like crying. I've done my crying for Chris Cornell. This song makes me cry for Slash. He tried to save Chris. If Slash had done something like this for me, I wouldn't have switched off my amp when things got that low. I would have rung Slash (that's if I was Chris Cornell and I had Slash's number). Or I would have put on Mean Bone and played along with it until I cheered up. Don't ever stop reaching out #Slash.
