A lot of the Pakistanis in the UK speak potohari/'pothwari'. However the language is dying because many of the younger generation are only speaking English.

I am a Punjabi Sikh and I think your language is very similar to Dogri language. Tussa, Assa, Kanne, mikki, tukki all used in Dogri.

@Darkhan 013 But we Punjabis are not able to understand Dogri Poonchi Pothwhari languages. So I won't consider them related dialects. Same way in Mohali Chandigarh area some poeple speak Poadhi which is more like Hindi or Haryanvi language. And Bagri is like Rajasthani hindi mix

@Darkhan 013 No you are wrong. Poadhi is mixture of khadi boli (Western Hindi), Haryanvi and with a small sprinkling of Punjabi. Actually Punjabi is itself sharing features with Khadi Boli (Western Hindi). Khadi Boli to Poadhi to Malwai. This is a dialect continuum. For a Teth Punjabi like me, its very difficult to understand this Dogri Pahari Potohari. All these seem similar to me.

@@noorjatt8692 aren't you able to understand dogri??? Although I can understand Punjabi but I can't tell the difference in the dialects like majhi , malwayi or doabi
