The best thing is that Arrma's clipless body did not come off when a truck crashed or was flipping on the ground. I had Traxxas trucks with clipless bodies came off when trucks crashed or were flipping on the ground. New Arrma Notorious could make people happy to run it!

I’d leave the GT5 in it. You can turn the Gyro on and off. As you please. Not sure if you can adjust the gain level with the gt5. But you should step up to a Noble nb4+ with an INR4-GYB receiver and then you can adjust the gain of the gyro. You can set a button to turn it on and off at will as well. Then you can do whatever you want with the truck.

That promoto receiver I woulda changed the angle a few more times and make sure it’s double sided taped pretty stiff. I don’t know how you had it but Velcro lets it wiggle.

I would have used the DX3 that came with the Promoto and switched between the modes, In dirt mode the bike will back flip from a standing start if it has enough grip.

Maybe it was rotating backwards too violently due to the Backflip tires so the gyro has to intervene too violently to control the wheelie? Maybe try some Kraton wheels since they don’t have as much rotational mass? Aren’t there some tuning options on how the gyro works?

I messed around and put a big TP motor and a 180amp castle esc… the wheel base is so short that my notorious would probably do 5-6 backflips off of your big ramp. I am waiting for my next longer wheelbase RC to throw this crazy motor and esc in. The notorious doesn’t need an electronics upgrade at all. I did Vitavon the truck up and a whole bunch of custom upgrades… I may bring this one to Arrmageddon this year for the high jump…

Assign the gyro to a switch & turn it off! WE do on planes. Hard to beat a safe rx that costs $100 in the bind n fly for $30🤷‍♂️
