I have found only the video test worthwhile. The other tests show me to be a (mostly) neutral runner while I clearly overpronate on video and my injury history also suggests i am not a neutral runner.

I always just assumed I needed a shoe for overpronation because I have very flat feet. But looking at my two running shoes I own they are both worn out on the outsides by the pinky toe and the inside of the shoes looks in fairly good shape still.

My shoes show most of the wear is on the outer edge of both the heel and the forefoot which by this video means I should stick with a neutral shoe.

What if you have a high arch and you still Over-Pronate. Please help ?

The arch test is very simple and is not as accurate as a treadmill test. Just because you have a high arch does not necessarily mean you are a neutral runner. If you know you overpronate you should seek out a more supportive shoe. Shoes like the Brooks Adrenaline are highly supportive and offer an arch structure that is fairly high. -Connor

Wtf the water test chart is all wrong, as compared to everywhere else on the internet. Please correct it or explain why everywhere else is completely different ie it's completely reversed.

You should be barefoot during the treadmill test to see the actual landing of the feet.

or wearing a full natural running shoe without extra stabilization like an asics cumulus or a Saucony ride. just something that actualy doesnt do antyhing more then shock resistans

The problem with pronation is the wrong running technique. That doesn't happen with the forefoot essay.

Instead of buying a shoe and expecting that to fix your pronation, just improve your running form to avoid getting injuries. This pronation nonsense is just a way for running shops to sell you overpriced shoes.

I believe its a very hard thing to fix. I also believe that, as you say, one should not rely on these shoes all the time, because the foot will adapt and you will not fix the problem in the long run - perhaps even worsen it. But I do think support shoes are a nice thing to have when youre really pushing your training and the feet get really tired.

I always thought of this!! People keep saying go to shoe store & get a test/recommendation. But I cant help thinking these are sales people working at the store trying to get commission, not a physiologist or some experts duhh! most definitely they would come up with bunch of reasons why you should buy the latest, most expensive model they have.
