Great question, the shower cap recreates extra moisture and that mixed with the dirt already growing will create bacteria. Remember shower caps are made of plastic just like the ones used for deep conditioner; made to hold moisture/ product on the scalp.

I would suggest taking a heavy hair oil and saturating it on the dome cap, then gently pulling the hair from the cap. The hair clue will come right off then wash and condition your hair.

Yes, it has to be on the very edge of the cap. Do not put the weft on your skin.

I put the protectant on my hair to protect it and it also helps to hold down the cap...so when I wash it comes off like a wig
