I think that the malevolent entity was trying to lure them to the fourth floor and scaring them with bangs to get energy, while the nurse was trying to warn them. The evil entity was the one trying to "reassure" them to get them to stay. It was Joanne who was constantly telling them to leave, to run, etc. She was protecting them just like they asked her to do.

And they did in fact mention that the nurse loved the hospital. It was her home. She wanted to protect them like she promised she would do. I got very protective vibes from her.

i grew up, and still live here. i've always heard harriman hospital was super haunted even before it closed down. so crazy to see this in real time! my family members were admitted here a couple of times before the hospital shut down and moved a town over. this video unlocked so many memories. roane county is small, but there is a lot of paranormal activity. if you ever revisit, ask about the "witch's circle" in kingston.. never felt an energy as dark as i felt even just staying with my sister who lived near there. it's hard to find due to the lore. Ask a local though, and they'll know. I'd pay money to see you guys go there because im way too terrified to go myself. :)

Many aren’t actually and think they’re still alive, I’ve found this is particularly true in places where people worked like a hospital. So asking if they were alive, they might not know what to stay because think think they are still alive. And equally like you say, a spirit trying to trick people can easily just say no

Had a similar situation at 4:13 happen to me when i was touring a castle in Bordeaux! Saw a group of people dressed up in medieval clothes walk into a room down the hall i was in. Thought they were actors about to start some kind of reenactment, so i followed them, but when i crossed the threshold they’d disappeared entirely. No doors out except the one i came in. The only other people in the room were another tourist and her infant son. Gave me chills! I caught my shocked reaction on camera as i was telling my mom about it 😂 love these Colby and Sam series, only started following them this month
