Quality over quantity any day any day As St. Paul instructed servants in his day, “and whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.” I say “bro” colloquially, since I’m not baptized yet. Definitely keep it up tho, dude! The proof to me that there is a God is that after coming to Christ the things I once found pleasure in now disgust me to no end, that even things I did not consider to be sinful I now no longer have any true desire to do. Lust is present, the propensity to sin is present, but it is no longer by my want that these things come to pass, but by the flesh. What do I mean by this? I lust, just as you do. I lusted every day since I was 12 years old, and despite wanting to stop many times I could never go more than a day. Then I came to Christ, and despite failing more than once I have now been two months clean. 2 months straight, after going 23 years without missing a day. I don't even like swearing anymore, despite the fact that nobody ever told me it was a sin. I used to curse every other word, but now I am repulsed by it. I used to love my lust. I used to love my sin. Now, I see it for what it is. A powerless, pathetic, lying worm that never had any true power over me. WE WERE LIED TO. Only Christ is my Master has power over me. Only Christ our God has true power over us. I have done things I never thought possible before I came to Jesus our Lord, and when I realized the only power that sin had over me is that which I allowed it. If anyone is reading this, do not lose hope, for despair is the weapon of the enemy. God does not want you dead. He died to stop that from happening, do you not understand? He would rather die than have you die. Do you have any idea what the cost of our lives truly was? No one can comprehend that our own God died for us. It makes me sick to think, that someone so perfect has died so horrid a death for someone so sick and twisted as men. But do not lose hope brothers. For while we were purchased at a terrible price, but it was paid willingly. We can accomplish nothing on our own, for if it were by our will we would still be the dead men we once were. Christ did not just die but is risen again. Christ has made us new men, and there is no greater thing than to offer up your own body's agony in sacrifice by denying the flesh its wrongful due in any manner of sin. Glutton? Deny the flesh. Fornicator? Deny the flesh. Miser? Deny the flesh. Your pain will turn to joy, for you glorify God in your suffering and telling the mongrel enemy he has no power over you. You are men of God. You have no power on your own, but through Christ you have power unimaginable. Do not fall into despair, for Christ did not come to condemn the world but save us already. You, if you have accepted Christ, are saved right now. God promised us salvation, and He has NEVER broke His word. Have faith, not in yourself, not in your own deeds or misdeeds, but in Christ alone. All praise our Lord Christ, who conquered death and sin. All praise our victorious God. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen. God be with you brothers. It won't be long now. Be ready. Don't lose the faith.

amidst the pleonastic sludge i discerned the cosmological argument for the uncaused causer, the teleological argument from design, and the cosmological argument for the unmoved mover. the first argument assumes the state of the universe at the moment of its "creation" is subject to the naturalistic principle of cause and effect, but since this is a supernatural event, why should that principle hold? and even if there is an uncaused causer, how do you know that is identical to the Christian God? the second argument assumes the existence of a designer since nature often seems to function "well", but ignores the many examples of bad design in nature, such as beached whales, moths flying into flames, green and not black plants, and so on. and again, how do you know the designer is identical with the Christian God? the third argument makes the same assumption as the first, that the naturalistic motion holds for a supernatural event, and this is not certain, and also makes the assumption (like the first argument) that an infinite regress of movers (or changers) is impossible. and once again, how do you know the unmoved mover is identical to the Christian God? finally, and somewhat trivially, i also notice you claim that the "deity" is incomprehensible and then go on to list things that the "deity" is like, meaning it is in fact comprehensible.

There is no way for us to know God by His Essence. (we can't even imagine it) But we can know God through His Energies. (His mercy, love, grace...) That is something even Catholics and Protestants are missing. Read Letter 234 by St. Basil of Caesarea. The world is faulty because sin entered into the world and even plants were affected by it. And I know this unmoved mover is Christian God because Christ has risen and He proved the Revelation is true, as St. Paul says: "And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain."

​@@OrthodoxLoner firstly, the essence of a being is that which cannot be removed from that being without the being losing its identity. for God, that essence is His divine attributes, such as His perfect wisdom, power and goodness. it's impossible to imagine a being without imagining it's essence. secondly, God is ultimately responsible for the sin which entered the world, since He is the creator and sustainer of all things. the only way sin could have entered the world without God's maintenance would be from an anti-God, which doesn't exist. thirdly, Christ's resurrection and Christian faithfulness in no way leads to the conclusion that the Unmoved Mover is in fact God.

Orthodox Christians don’t hold to Thomistic arguments for the existence of God. In this way, we agree that these arguments don’t lead one to the Trinity. This is why the Holy Fathers (some being philosophers) start from Divine Revelation instead of Natural theology. Search up Jay Dyer to see the transcendental argument and presuppositionalism. To make it simple, for knowledge to be possible, it has to be grounded and justified by God, not just a generic God, but a very specific God, which, down the argument, will lead to the Orthodox Monarchic Trinitarian theology. This can also be used for other transcendental (morality, laws of logic, etc) because these things too are contained within this web of transcendentals that depend on each other and can only be justified with the knowable God that laid down His Church to be a pillar of truth unto the world
