Nioh is a fictional character based on a true individual from history named William Adams and has the papers that he was made a Samurai by the Shogun at the time... Yasuke is another character based on a true individual from history taht is being made by flagrant history thieves like yourself to be a legendary samurai when he was nothing of the sort - he was a plaything of Oda Nobunaga - something to show of to his friends and that was it.... after Nobunaga died, he was sold back to the Jesuits that he came to Japan with by Aechi.... he was in Oda Nobunaga's service for a total of 10 months maximum. William Adams stayed in Japan for 4 years before he was even granted permission to start his training to be a Samurai.... he also had to take in a Noble Wife too.

you know what's hilarious you can tell Google Translate Japanese versus real Japanese by the specific character usage and sometimes I'm seeing messages entirely in Katakana when they should be in a mix of kanji in Katakana and that right there is where you can tell they're using Google translate because they understand nothing about sentence structure and the reason for that is Google translate sometimes does not properly structure a sentence whether it's Japanese or German or even English for that matter it's ridiculous to me

I actually cried when people told me about how to form sentence structure, but yes, for the most part, it's a mix of Kanji and Katagana, however, sometimes when foreign words Are used and in that case, Hiragana Would be used, for example, in a bunch of Western brands like McDonald's or. Coca-Cola or stuff like that. That is Is where hiragana is used so to formulate proper sentence structure. If I were to explain that here, I'd have to type out like 18 paragraphs, so you're just gonna have felt figure that 1 out on your own, but it is most commonly a mix of Kanji, followed then by a smaller amount of. Katagana, and then a very small amount of hiragana. Depending on the context, things might swap. Ratios might change, but that's roughly how it goes. And then, when you get into grammatical correctness. Again another entire 18 paragraphs. You're gonna have to figure that one out

No. A Samurai is something like a knight, it's a title, a retainer is a job. There is no logical correlation between one term and the other. Sure, a retainer CAN be a Samurai, but not every retainer IS a Samurai. Don't you think if someone was a Samurai, it would be mentioned somewhere? That Yasuke is explicitly being called a retainer speaks very much against the idea of him being a Samurai. Not that this is so horrible, minor historical inaccuracies are usually fine. Though I think if he was no Samurai, he would be a better Assassin. Not that a towering, armor-clad black Warrior makes for a good Assassin anyway. 🙂

Just wanted to say a few things, probably not gonna change anyone's opinion how they see people who are not keen on Yasuke being a protagonist, since it's easy to just dismiss anybody having a different opinion than you have as a racist, misogynistic hater, but as someone who wasn't so happy with it from the start, I thought I'd at least give it a try. I loved Finn in Star Wars, they did him dirty in the last two films though. He was basically my favourite character. Just mentioning that, because the comments have several posts claiming the people complaining about Yasuke in AC Shadows are the same who were hating on John Boyega You know, what I find hilarious is that if the character was a white Samurai (which actually was a thing that existed and not with a somewhat questionable status as retainer), the same people defending the decision now would be the one screaming bloody murder about "white saviours" and how you can't have a non-Japanese protagonist in a game set in historical Japan, how it is racist and shit. I fail to see why it would be any better if the foreigner is black and not white. There have been non-White protagonists in Assassin's Creed games before. The original game had an Arab, the Egyptian MC in origins, or the Native-American one in AC3, or the Black woman in Liberation? There wasn't an outrage like that over those characters, and I liked all of them just fine. AC could still use a lot more diversity tbh, but please let it make halfway sense, for me choosing Yasuke, like the one black guy in Japan in this time period, feels incredibly forced and unauthentic. Not to mention that a towering Black Samurai who is a personal retainer of Nobunaga Oda is about the worst possible Assassin imaginable. One way I can see Ubisoft spinning the story is them making Yusuke a Ronin, a samurai without a master. We don't know what happened to Yusuke at the end, whether he was kick out of Japan or killed. So they can just make it where he now serves no one. Save for Unity with all the glitches. But it was still an impressive looking game with good gameplay. My main issue with AC is the bloat. And I have no issues pre-ordering the game with the biggest issue being too much to do. A bad AC game is still often a pretty good game. It’s just bad compared to the best of AC but likely better than most other open world games not titled Assassin’s Creed.

That realisation was more enforced when former devs on the initial project for the AC Japan game confirmed that it had a Japanese male, who was a Buddhist monk that eventually tied up to Hattori Hanzo.They had the story plot lines set, ending and all, but then it was shelved for other projects. Later on, new writers scrapped it entirely and implemented what they have currently. Ubisoft is haemorrhaging money. 80% of their stock has fell since 2018. They're surviving on handouts from places like BlackRock who are pushing for diversity quotas as requirements for payment.

I'm sorry but ghost of tsushima will not be competing with this game second of all selecting a black person is just like selecting any other Outsider and Japanese companies have done it before for this time. not to mention that Ubisoft has a history of selecting Outsiders to tell their story when there is no grounds for an introspective society that means there's no way for them to criticize the government openly when they use an Insider at the time and Assassin's Creed games often work off of Government critiques and to tell you exactly why ghost of tsushima will not be competing with this it is purely because ghost of tsushima and this game are two entirely different games featuring entirely different game structures they are not meant to be the same they will not play the same people still want to play Assassin's Creed they just don't want to deal with the b******* of Assassin's Creed they like the Assassin's Creed systems and movements they just don't want to deal with the b******* that some of the Innovations to those movements have brought if they can do that successfully which we have no idea of as we haven't seen actual gameplay yet then if they can in fact do it they will sell to the player base that they are targeting which will keep sales high they are not targeting the same player base as ghosts of tsushima just because they sit in setting that's like me saying if I have a game that is set in World War II in the middle of Nazi Germany and the game is about being a German soldier forced to kill people and then you breaking your way out of that and then a game came out that's also set in the exact same time frame in the exact same place even but it's about being a baker at that time and how you have to worry about managing resources during the rations both games could be downright stupid exciting to play if they're written well however at the end of the day just because they share some similarities doesn't mean that they're going to sell to the same Market

This is a first time assassins creed is using a historical character(be it if he is folklore) as the protagonist... I feel they should have had yasuke as a character you interact with. Then after this game have yasuke a playable character in an expansion or a separate game... seeing the price of the game im not pre ordering it.
