What was unfortunately forgotten in the video article is that here in Europe we can also trade CFDs on real futures contracts (e.g. with GBE Brokers) and thereby benefit from the many advantages that trading futures on the CME alone cannot offer.

Trading CFDs is an absolute joke. It's scammy, unregulated and you're being taken like a fool. And what's worse is you don't even realize it.

I use Oanda and I would love it if they offered a prop firm option. I'd be more likely to use one from a big broker.

I do like trade day. Eod trail is great, its hard to compete against having 20 accounts for 80% off though, even with the trail based on equity which is just greasy.

Look guys trading is hard , day trading is even harder and the odds of succeed are not in your favor . Now add that to dealing with prop firms , with this type of rules ? This is the kind of prop firms want you to loose .

It has to do with end of day margin requirements and risk management on the futures prop firm. If you had those same positions opened past market close on a self funded futures account you would understand why there is margin requirements with real futures

@tylermcglynn4035 so that means because a position went against you during the day , you are obligated to close the trade in a loss ? That way you will never make money in the markets plus the psychological damage you take every time you take a loss over and over again . I'm a funded trader and let me carry the trade during night and even during the weekend . You are forcing the traders being a day trader , which it doesn't work buddy .

@JohnSmith12344 dude, nobodies forcing anybody. It's up to the trader to do their due diligence, if a trader realises trades need to be closed, then jog along and find a prop firm suited for swinging. Yes it's annoying that you can't hold trades overnight for most prop firms, but if they allowed that then their risk as a business increases ten folds, even you know this. As a business obviously they are gonna take care of their interests first and foremost, that's how the world works unfortunately

Might not be good for swing traders but it's great for scalpers. The fact that I can scalp the e-minis with 10 contracts and ALL the risk I am really taking is ONLY 160 dollars a month which goes into the live acc fees. This is absolutely outstanding for a professional trader.
