In the past few weeks the trading industry has been plunged into chaos as prop firm after prop firm have effectively been shut down.
So, why is this happening?
Brokers are NOT allowed to offer CFD products to American clients. It’s against the law in that country. Brokers like Axi know this and respect this. Many Prop firms, however, have long-been flouting the regulations and offering CFD products to people in America.
Now, US regulators are clamping down. But because most prop firms operate in other countries, The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission couldn’t go after them directly.
