I bought 1234 when it was released and it still is one of my favourite records of all time. If I had to live on an island for the rest of my life and only could take 3 records with me 1234 would be one of these.

Same here. This album and incarnation of the band was so underrated. It's a shame, But I think they were too good and people just didn't get it.

Друзья поляки, какой прекрасный был фестиваль. Этот концерт гр. Propaganda, будучи подростком, записывал с лампового цветного телевизора "Радуга", на кассетник "Соната". Потом эта кассета, заслушенная до дыр, канула в недрах родительского дома. Спасибо тебе, неведомый друг, выложивший концерт, за мою вернувшуюся юность!!

it is just impossible to have this studio quality/complexity sound/song live. also, it's obvious she's singing to the matrix recording (i.e. just opening mouth). nevertheless, one of the best recordings of all time.

Completely creditable album ... but not a true 'Propaganda' album for me, despite some songs co-written by Ralf, the involvement of Michael Mertens and a guest appearance on two tracks by Susanne. Betsi Miller carries everything really well on 1234; she was a talent that ultimately deserved more from the deal. Also, Derek and Brian are top notch as you would expect. But Betsi was no Claudia Brucken and I'm absolutely sure Fritz Lang would have much preferred Claudia and Susanne's "The Heart Is Strange" as follow up. (IMHO!)

yeah, it felt like a cut with the new (beautiful) vocals and lyrics. betsi miller and 1234 deserved much more attention. maybe not under the propaganda label.
