Subversion is a tried and true strategy from the extremist sides. It's the best way to take out a much more elite military force. Like the U.S. China doesn't throw around military might, they just bribe, and blackmail everyone in the U.S. government, and help the most corrupt get in, so they can do good deals for them, and push ideology.
