I've found they grow and thrive with hardly any water at all 😉 They love full 🌞 Mine are outside always because I'm in Florida but I also had them indoors in Maryland before moving 15 years ago. Even indoors, I've ignored them weeks at a time and now I have 2 beautiful large pots about to burst at the seems 🫣 Totally potbound. Ggrrrrr. My fault but anyway Getting back to growing your snake plants. Pick off the pieces you intend to plant and label colors, let the cut end dry and scab over at least for 1 night maybe 2. Do Not use wet or soil that is very moist to start your cuttings 🌵 Remember water will be their enemy if you are worried about them drying out. I dampen the tips and then dip them in a little bit of rooting hormone, then stick them in an area of almost dry soil and I leave them alone, with a small dish of water under the pot that will absorb water to your plants if needed ? Make sure your pot has holes in it also 🌵 Just because the top is dry doesn't mean they need water. It took me years of many rotten cuttings or plants to finally find a plant that I can't kill 🍀 Good Luck

You will have to wait over 3 months to see any. Snake plants grow slowly also develop roots slowly. Don’t fall for fake info in videos

Just cut it in "V" shape and 10-12Hrs in dark , Dry place and then put it in Soil ... As water developed roots cant survive in soil so eventually they will regrow its roots again. 📍Varigated plant ( with yellow edge) will not have yellow colour in new plant ... It can only to done with new pufs.

Cut the bottom of the leaf into an upside down V so the leaf has two tails and a slit in the middle. Let the cuts dry for 2-5 days after cutting before putting them in water

I planted it in November last yr without knowing I was using clay soil ...... Roots were formed but no new plants up until 3rd March I repotted it again in just 80%cocopeat+20%vermicompost and man the results are unexpected 3cutting and 5new plants😂😂😂😂

Nice..But one down side....u don't get the exact leaf pattern in the new one, you will miss the yellow variagted portion😢... If u are good with plain snake plant..it's correct. But if u want variagted plant, do plant division along with roots from mother plant😅👍

Love this option but the only part I don't like is that when you propagate them by cutting the new plants and all from that new piece loose their variegated quality. To keep their variegated colors you need to pull the whole leaf and roots from the original variegated snake plant.
