Oh my gosh I can't even explain my anxiety. Lol. Cutting plants always gives me anxiety. I don't know why, I'm just silly that way. I just cut one of my ficus trees to see if I could get it to take root. I'm using water. Every time I look at those cuttings my heart sinks. Lol 😂😆 Cute video ✌️💚🙂

I went half and half with my friend and they really really wanted the plant so the best solution in the end was for them to just take it and I keep the cutting

@@christinamoody937 I would say to give it more light! I kept it on my east facing porch so it got a lot of ambient light throughout the day! No direct sun to avoid bleaching.

my rubber tree is a baby, i do have a grow light, would you recommend i place it under my grow light if it's not getting a lot of light in my room (north facing window) and especially during the winter. i really wanna grow the leaves as big as yours i got it a month ago and it's got 5 leaves and less than a foot tall

Thats what I did to mine yesterday , dipped in honey as a rooting hormone and organic soil, not cactus soil and placed in window for indirect su light. Not sure how it will thrive. Will update if it does, maybe 2-4 months. Who knows, heard these are hard to propagate!

I will be posting an update soon! So far my tineke hasn't shown any roots yet, but it's still in water. I regret not using rooting hormone for sure 😞

I rooted all the branches from my big tree in water only for about 2 months. Change the water weekly. That gave me time to decide on a cute pot to put it in. I now have 13 plants all over the house!

You can stick only the leaves in soil, they will root also! :)

You'd wanna cut all your cuttings at 45degrees angle to the ground so that water droplets can't stay on the cut stem.

I enjoyed watching this video. It's just what I needed but I had a really hard time hearing what you were saying even after I turned the volume on both the video & my PC to the highest levels. Please speak louder &/or adjust your microphone so it can better pick up what you're saying. I gave them to my friend, which is why I propagated these plants. Unfortunately, they were not taken care of so the ruby one died very recently (I think overwatering) 😞But! I was able to save the tineke & she's recovering right now 🥰She'll be thriving again in no time!

You need to change your camera angle because I couldn't see anything you were doing on the table. All that was showing was your face and top of the plant and you were looking off camera which was distracting. This is a shame because lots of information like "cut it here" but without seeing where "here" was its pointless. Please consider filming what you're actually doing with your hands and not your face
