​@@famaccount479As a matte black fan, it looks awesome but apart from aesthetics it really isn't ideal for aircraft. Especially passenger/business jets like these that cruise at high altitudes. The exteriors of these are almost always predominantly white is because of thermal reasons. Having the plane painted full black isn't really catastrophic, but if you want less maintenance over a longer airframe lifespan, not the way to go. To get air conditioning when parked, the aircraft's APU must be running which burns up fuel or need an external ground unit hooked up. Due to noise & safety reasons airports have strict restrictions on how the APU can be operated & cost to use ground facilities like AC carts can be expensive & aren't always available. Hangar facilities are expensive & not usually provided at airports even in hot climates. So not uncommon for business jets being parked for long periods out in the open ramp which does get very hot in the sun. Black heats up more so the aluminium airframe will undergo more demanding thermal cycles each time it heats & cools, especially when climbing to & descending from cold cruising altitudes. With reflective colours like white the thermal stresses on the airframe will be far less, which means less material fatiguing. With composites, heat is not as much of an issue like with aluminium but still the black paint will absorb more radiation like UV which is higher at altitude. So the paint will degrade faster & can end up peeling.

The thing is, planes are white or light colour for a reason. You fly above the clouds, the sunlight and heat reflect off white and bright colours vs being absorb by dark and black colours.

That would feel like a coffin. I’d be a wreck after a long haul on that. G’s are cramped enough as it is, that interior would be like being shrink-wrapped. But there’s plenty of colours for everyone, and hats off to her for living her dream. Nice to see someone being open about the cost; I’d love to see a vid of the testing and certification of bespoke material packages - as I know there have been some spectacular fails , much to the chagrin of designers who come from interior design world, and tantrum of owners…

You’ll hate the interior heat in the summer months. It’s already hard enough to cool the cabin down in a white aircraft. Plan an extra 30-45 minutes of APU run time to cool things down, also plan an m sweating through your clothes at every APU restricted airport.

Use DI (deionized) water for starters. Just run water though ion-exchange resin media. Then water can evaporate but there are no minerals to leave behind.

The ceramic coatings you see for cars were originally developed for airplanes to minimize outer cleanings and thereby lessen weight for fuel savings. Only requires spraying with deionized water as another commenter mentioned to remove dirt and bugs.

She’s right that typical jet interiors are white/beige and thus too bright inside. Black looks great although darker colors make rooms feel smaller. I love the fabric seats because fabric is cozier and grips you better. Fabric is also much quieter than leather. If you’re stuck in a tube with 10 people during a flight you’ll appreciate the sound absorbing fabric instead of leather.

High quality paint finish, cloth interior is much better than leather because cloth breaths, however a full black interior although very dramatic, it is too dark to be really comfortable for 10 hour flights. $5m for full custom paint and full strip and full interior refurb is very FULL retail, that is Half the cost of the plane second hand which you will never recover. But that is Private Aviation lol !!! A G-450 is a good jet for EU and US ops !
