Temple Grandin, you are a true humanitarian, rather than ranting about how eating meat is terrible, you designed a way so its much less terrible to the animal, and both sides should be happy with that, a gentle genius you are, shame that you are not known well beyond the husbandry industry. God bless you Mrs. Grandin

Temple Gradin, I had a question. In the movie made about you, is it true you made the machine for yourself in college, or is the movie not completely accurate?

I would like a hug machine.

Are B. b. Bison as dangerous and obstreperous in handling as I've read?

A third of her approach seems to be plain common sense. Another third painstaking observation, research and analysis. And lastly that mysterious intuition and empathy. The biopic strongly implies that livestock handling was a macho-dominated profession that had never been properly subjected to the "scientific method". It seemed meant to leave the viewer wondering how much of her approach was "female" sensitivity and how much was the autistic factor.

yeah I agree with what wordnerd says, I'm glad that more people are like you out there showing that slaughter can be handled humanely and efficiently.

Squeeze chutes have nothing to do with slaughter. They are used for vaccinating and tagging/ and other veterinarian procedures.

@@christripptripp797 they are correlated with restrainers which are used in slaughter facilities. It is a similar concept. You can use these concepts for a squeeze chute in concepts with slaughter. Basics of behavior doesn't change.

@Temple Grandinthefake what is wrong with you? Are you kidding? I hope you are! If I were you I would be thanking the woman who has brought a considerable amount of humanity to the process of slaughtering animals. Temple Grandin is my hero, because she has made the quality of life and death better for my cows and many other cows all over the world.
