In Hong Kong, radio communication is prohibited when implementing handsignal work such as train coupling and uncoupling to avoid any misinterpretation and signal interference. As a handsignal man, we can only adopt official hand signals to indicate train movement and to show emergency signals. Any staff working on or near tracks MUST wear reflective clothes. The maximum speed of coupling rolling stock vehicles is 3km/h. For that speed shown in the video, it might be faster than 3km/h. We call it "hard coupling" which leads to disciplinary action.
