Hi Russel! Question for ya. Want to run the large Off Shore planner boards for salmon using mono with 4 to 6oz snap on weights using spoons, shallow running plugs ect. What type of rods would you recommend for this type of setup? Thanks!

Russel, tried to reach you at the store, you guy didn't know much. I used planer boards years ago, have 2 mast to run the boards off, I like to hook the off shore release to them so when you get a hit it releases from the board, then I can crank the board in separately on my mast, in separately from the line with the fish on, you know who's board will work or any info on them? I have the XL gator boards, when they’re set to release with either a heavy fish or pump handle behind it they immediately dive under water after releasing, should I just get some magnum off shores? Do they float better?

Would a standard board work for crappie , white bass and walleye all 3 ?

Yes standard boards are what u want for those fish!! Tattle flags are a big help we use them for walleye.

Any issues with running lighter lines on the mag boards? 1-5colors, 1/2-1oz weights, cranks, etc?

All of the boards he showed are ran on ur rods. Not a planner board mast.

do u sell the pro- mag? u sold me a 200 and 300 weighted steel and I am guessing the pro-mag is the one to use for these setups? do these boards come with all the attachments and releases, flag?

If, I would have seen this video a year ago, I’d have extra thousand dollars easy. My 450 copper on walleye board was very productive... catching almost all my rods and no fish. Not even funny guys, going on the lake just to pull out massive giant alien birds nests...and cut it all to pieces

Thanks Russel nice video! Man we found 4 boards this year most of them the SST and returned them to the rightful owners but I lost one and never got it back! Brad lost one and a guy from Milwaukee found it months later but we both know he’s always been a lucky shit!..... Sams pro release the way to go?
