How do you factor in extensions?

That completely depends on the kind of extension. There's a video that was out about 2 months ago, named "You're Using a Torque Wrench Wrong: MythBusting 10 Do's & Dont's" from "Torque Test Channel" channel. They go over what affects and what don't when using extensions

With the 14 Nm wrench can I torque twice to tighten a 28 Nm bolt?

I think not. I remember fastener torque increases exponentially instead of in a linear fashion. (I could be wrong)

Sure. As you can use two 4mm Allen keys instead of using one 8mm hex. That’s all the same. 😁

#askgmbntech Big question, leading to quite some arguments over the years: Is it ok to lube cables ? Some say definitely, some say only with certain lubes, others say never ever because it attracts dust etc I've had XTR cablesets that came pre-lubed with some sort of bearing grease from factory, and on the other hand a Shimano employee that told me the cables are self lubricating via the silicon inner lining.... Myself I always use a drip of oil at the adjustment screws and end caps (wiping away the excess) and feel an immediate change in resistance, and also apply a thin coat of grease on new inner cables. I know certain solvents can damage the inner liner, so what are recommended types of lube to use, if any ?
