Properties of Amorphous and Crystalline Polymers

This video outlines the properties of different types of polymers including linear, crystalline polymers and cross-linked amorphous polymers.
Amorphous polymers can be used in two states, either above or below the glass transition temperature. This alters the properties and hence, the applications of the polymer. This is discussed in detail during this video.

but no polymers are 100% amorphous or 100% crystalline right ?

That's correct. It is a continuum, where at one end a polymer is 100% crystalline and at the other end, it is 100% amorphous. However no polymer would ever be at either end of the continuum.

Engineers Academy While I agree with your statement concerning crystallinity - to my knowledge PE-HD with 70 pc crystallinity is the maximum, I dont agree with your statement concerning the amorphous state. To my knowledge, the atactic version of PMMA does NOT contain any crystalline phase whatsoever.
