Sarah Beeny follows the trials and tribulations of Kim Maoate, who gave up a lucrative job in IT to remortgage her Buckinghamshire home and buy a dilapidated property 170 miles away in South Wales. The house was bought unseen and it needs more work than she ever imagined. A week into the project, her friend still hasn't shown up to lend a helping hand and the costs are starting to rise. Sarah goes back to check on Kim's progress who gave up a high-paid job and decided to start a career in property development. (Year: 2004)

Kim is one of the nicest developers I have seen on these shows. She actually listened to Sarah's advice. Great video. Thanks!

Oh!!! Beeny's hair! It looks absolutely FABULOUS during Kim's first development (the best of all the seasons) ... and then dreadful when she goes to see Kim's 3rd. (I'd have sued the person that did THAT. That is unforgivable). Thankfully, hair grows out! I LOVE this show. This was a GREAT episode; Kim is a brave and lovely person. Thank you so much for posting these!

@@SADK-bn4qy Whoo-hoo! Yay!! Thank you so much! I am completely addicted to Beeny's world! I LOVE watching transformations of houses/buildings ... even though these are too formulaic. It's so interesting to look back on styles that were popular 10-20 years ago (the heavy, dark furniture which we have moved away from) and fun to see Sarah's changing hairstyles. Again, thank you!

4:52. I laughed out loud at her itemized budget. Too many missing zeros.

Who pounds NAILS through plaster board to find the studs? Tap on it and listen, for heaven's sake! And there are tools you can buy that will locate the nails in the studs using a magnet. Ridiculous!

Where do they put all their clothes?

It's a mystery! (It makes me crazy). These houses were built when people owned next to nothing, had only a few changes of clothes... and didn't need closets. So odd to think of NOW!
