Just found you a couple days ago & love what you are sharing. I am also a pre-tribber. I agree with you regarding the wrath of God. There are times of punishment & then there’s the wrath of God. If we tend to think some of the world’s disasters are Gods wrath, we’re sadly mistaken. I see them as warnings & a reminder of the power of God. Looking forward to playing catchup on you many teachings. Love you in Jesus! ❤🙏🏻

Before I even listen , I believe this verse divides the body of Christ more than any other . The early church fathers considered the “ Falling Away “ first to be a physical departure , the rapture , there has always been a falling away from Truth or the Faith ! John

@johnharrington6122 Here is proof that what your saying is untrue. You need to do your own research instead of listening to Andy Woods. "From the Original 1599 Geneva Bible Notes 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: {3} for [that day shall not come], except there come a FALLING AWAY first, and {e} that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition."

Grace and peace be with you all, in Jesus, There is even a view I've seen from a man who argues (with reason) that the word "apostasia", "ἀποστασία" could actually mean a physical "Departure". If that is true then this would settle the (Pre-Trib) debate once and for all. 🙏
@nanadeborah8717 Жыл бұрын
The reason Pastor Andy Woods teaches that is because apostacia can be used as a verb and as a noun. Thus the meaning to physically leave from one place to another and the meaning of falling away from an idea are both relevant. I think Paul used that word purposely because it conveyed both meanings. We are seeing people fall from faith and those who believe in replacement theology are coming out vehemently antisemetic. Also,we will be leaving soon.

It al sums up by two Bible verses, a rapture and a second coming of Christ to establish his Kingdom on Earth: 1 Thessalonicenzen 4:17, and Revelation 1:7. Good teaching btw Pastor, mixing with rationality and spiritual food is also how I always encounter my walk with Jesus. It makes me a good soldier in Christ! When Will He Come? It may be at midnight when Jesus will come, To take us away to our rest, Tho' dark be the hour, He will scatter its gloom, And we will be evermore blest. Refrain When He doth come, His own to take home, We'll try to be ready to go, On pinions of light, He'll scatter earth's night, And wash our robes whiter than snow. It may be at noonday when all is so bright, His brightness will outshine the sun, He'll take us away to a palace of light, And give us the crown we have won. Refrain At morning or noon or at night's dismal hour, It matters not when He doth come, If we are but trusting in His saving power, He'll give us a precious, sweet home. Refrain Words and Music: John McPherson, 1888.

I thought when we died that our soul goes immediately to Heaven. So who are the " dead in Christ" going first if their soul is already in Heaven with Jesus??? I actually can't wait to meet Jesus! Will I not meet him when I die?? I will be cremated so where will I be if I am not immediately with Jesus??? My Mother died in 2016 and was a Christian. Isn't she with Jesus now??? I am SO perplexed now!!!

Dead in Christ refers to the bodily resurrection which no one currently has.
@krissyyoung9264 Жыл бұрын
The souls of those who’ve died in Christ (born of God through believing the gospel) are indeed in heaven now and with the Lord. 1 Thess 4:14 tells us that at the resurrection/rapture, they will come with Christ from heaven. Their bodies will be resurrected, glorified and rejoined to their souls. Praise God! What an event it will be!

2 thes 2 seems to contradict the pre-trib rapture, “ our gathering to gather to him”, looks like the rapture to me
@paulmelonas7263 Жыл бұрын
I'm sure most Christians will stipulate to the fact that there will be a rapture. I'm also sure most Christians will stipulate to the fact that the rapture and the second coming are two distinctly different events. The question then becomes when on the 7 year time line will this rapture occur? I suggest that first we have to answer the question when does the first resurrection occur? If that occurs prior to the rapture as scripture points out, then the answer of when the rapture occurs should be simple to deduce.

In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul is addressing their lack of hope. If you compare 1 Thessalonians 1:3 and 2 Thessalonians 1:3 you'll notice whats missing: their hope. The "that day" of 2 Thessalonians 2:3 is referring to the "day of Christ" from 2:2. The day of Christ can not come until the falling away or departure. But Paul is being more specific that just that. We all know that the Day of the Lord (the day He comes) is preceeded by "the last days" or Israel's 70th week of which the 2nd half of their week is really bad. 2 Thessalonians 2:2 "... as that the day of Christ IS AT HAND." ...as if the day Christ returns to earth is near and all that bad stuff is about to start happening and get progressively worse up until His coming. The reason i believe the "falling away" is the departure of the Body of Christ Church is because of the context in which its used. 2:6 "...and now you know..." How do they now know? He just told them. 2:1 His coming and our gathering unto Him, our departure, our being taken out of the way before the man of sin is revealed. Yes, there will be a departure of the faith in the last days, but that departure of faith is not anywhere in the context of what Paul is writing here. Something and someone is taken out of the way, or removed, before the man of sin is revealed. Satan doesn't even know when to unleash his man of sin until this Dispensation of Grace is over by the rapture. So we really can not get the context for "falling away" from another book or another author, especially when he is telling them right there "and now you know what is keeping the man of sin from being revealed." Paul is beseeching them WITH our gathering unto Christ, THAT they are not shaken up about the Day of the Lord being "at hand." Its not at hand, and won't be at hand unless there is a falling away or departure (what he is beseeching them with: our gathering together unto Him) and that man of sin must be revealed before the day of Christ comes, but the man of sin is not revealed, can not be revealed, until the falling away or Departure happens first. That'll give you hope.

Bible translations that used the Textus Receptus translated like the KJV and NKJV 2Thess 2:2 _"the day of Christ,"_ while the translations that used eclectic method like the NASB translated it "the day of the Lord." To my mind "the day of the Lord" is a more accurate translation since in 1Thess 5:3 Paul mentioned "the day of the Lord" not "the day of Christ." What is "the day of Christ?" Many say it's the rapture. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until *the day of Jesus Christ:* 10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till *the day of Christ;* If the day of Christ is the rapture, and apostasia is the physical departure of the church, then you would have two rapture words in 2Thess 2:3. There was a prophecy conference where Dr. Andy Woods was present. The speaker was Lee Brainard saying that apostasia cannot be interpreted as physical departure. I don't know if Dr. Woods has changed his position since then.
@bugsocsollie1694 Жыл бұрын
@JesseMgala The day of the Lord and the day of Christ from 2 Thessalonians 2, is the same. Christ is the Lord. In OT Prophecy about the day of the Lord being at hand, "Lord" was used because they didn't have a name to put to it yet. Paul did have a name and title, making it more personal in a sense. Almost all other English translations of 2 Thessalonians used "Departure" instead of "falling away." Not all, but most. But no other to-English translation used "falling away." The KJB was the first. Not sure exactly what that means, but there you go. As it is, someone (a "He") must be removed before the man of sin is revealed. Also, something (a "what") must be removed before the man of sin, son of perdition is revealed. Couple that with "and NOW YOU KNOW..." the context of what Paul is telling them in that very passage has absolutely nothing to do with departing faith, or departing anything else except the departing of the Body of Christ Church (the "WHAT") to be gathered unto Christ at His appearance. The same way Christ ascended up to heaven before Israel's 70th week was supposed to begin, Christ (His Body) will be ascending up to heaven before Israel's 70th week actually does begin. Christ being the "HE" that must be removed before the man of sin is revealed. Because Israel fell in unbelief, the Dispensation of Grace for the Gentiles came instead of Israel's 70th week. This Dispensation will be over before Israel's 70th week resumes.

@bugsocsollie1694 You can watch *"Lee Brainard | Apostasia in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-Why I Believe Apostasy is Correct | 2022."* He said "physical departure" was never a translation of "apostasia" even in the 1300s. Andy Woods was also in that conference.
@bugsocsollie1694 Жыл бұрын
@JesseMgala Yeah, I will just stick with Scripture and what it says. Mr. Woods also thinks the parable of the 10 virgins is about the "church." He also thinks there is only one Gospel. Obviously, both of those are wrong.
@JesseMgala Жыл бұрын
@bugsocsollie1694 As far as I know Andy Woods believes that the Olivet discourse is all about the Jews. I believe that starting Matt 24:36 to the end of chapter 24 and the parable of the ten virgins are about pre-tribulitional events.

Let's keep comments respectful. Remember the 'Golden Rule.' Angry Words. Angry words! O let them never from this tongue unbridled slip; May the heart’s best impulse ever check them ere they soil the lip, Love one another thus saith the Saviour; children obey the Father’s blest command. Love is much too pure and holy, friendship is too sacred far, For a moment’s recklessness folly, thus to desolate and mar, Love one another thus saith the Saviour; children obey the Father’s blest command. Angry words are lightly spoken, bitterest thoughts are rashly stirred, Brighter links of life are broken, by a single angry word. Love each other, love each other ‘tis the blessed command. D.K.P.

The two witnesses and the 144,000 are stated as being the same amount of days as the first half of the 70th week. You would think the 144k would be in the wilderness in the second half. The signing of the covenant starts it. If the church is not to know the Lawless One, I hope we are taken three and a half years before the start. Because of Ezekiel 38. Just trying to piece together a time line. Regardless I hope Jesus comes soon because I don’t know how much longer I can stand the apostasy and sin that is running rampant in the world right now. I look forward to the end when all will believe in Jesus. Even from Hell.
