Jesus gives us the assurance that when we die, we will immediately be with Him in Heaven(Paradise). We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8 This Jesus that I want to announce to you went to the cross on our behalf, to become the final sacrifice and atonement for all sins of the world and He did this once and for all. He then suffered and died at the cross; and on the 3rd day, He rose again and showed Himself to His disciples as proof that He not only conquered death but that He is God incarnate: And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. John 20:24-28 My Muslim brothers and sisters, you are led to believe that the Jesus that you honor is only a prophet and messenger. and He was, but He is much more than both prophet and messenger. He is God incarnate(God in the flesh) on a rescue mission to save and not condemn(John 3:16-17). If all this seems ridiculous and foolishness to you, then ask yourself this: How do I know for certain that I will go to Paradise? How good do I have to be to enter into Paradise? This Jesus entreats each and everyone of us(Muslim and non-Muslim alike) to; Come to me all you that are burdened and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy , and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). So my concerns for you is this: don't limit Jesus to being only a prophet and messenger, but receive Him as Savior and Redeemer into your life so Heaven can be yours.

But we also have a Messiah who was raised from the death, something that made the early disciples trip out. shafeeque ahmed I have a PDF copy of Barnabas. I also have copies of the Gospel of Mary and Thomas, and every other letters such as 3 Corinthians. What you say is not anything new that scholars do not know. This isn't news to me. Indeed there has been other gospels. Why are not found within the New Testament? Because of the dating, the dating of the Gospel of Barnabas is so old and far away from actual eye witnesses. It is a 2nd Century book that could not be used as a reliable source to tell us who Jesus was. The Qur'an does reflect a bit of the Gospel of Barnabas and of Thomas as well. The Council did not decided to pick and choose, the Canon was closed way before the Council as of 100 AD. We have patrisitic quotations that we know of, often the early church fathers only quoted from amongst the 4 gospels we have today. The early church fathers had no clue of the Gospel of Barnabas or of Thomas. Why would they since these gospels were 100 years removed. So if the Qur'an mirrors a portion of the Gospel of Thomas and Barnabas, which are not reliable sources, isn't it time to question the Qur'an?

Bilal Garcia, on this matter I'd rather sound stupid but right than clever but wrong. The Lord's Apostles were mostly fishermen, not those one would think of very clever or learned group. Go read the Gospel, and you'll find many times Jesus said "the Father and I are one", "I am in the Father and the Father is in me". The 3rd person in the Holy Trinity is the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God the Son who came after all the prophets had done their part. He went back to Heaven after His rose from the dead. Why would God allow another prophet after He Himself has fulfilled it all, like He has not fulfilled what He came to do, think about it. Perhaps you'll never grasp it as you may not be amongst the chosen ones, but no worry there's still hope as you can be one when you accept Jesus as your Lord, God, Savior and Redeemer. If you care to find the truth go read the Gospels and you will find many verses saying Jesus is God, Jesus is the Son of the living God. Yes, He is the 2nd Person in the Holy Trinity. Do that, seek Him with a sincere god-seeking heart and the truth will be yours, else you'd just be one of the "called but not chosen". This dialogue is the call but to be chosen is your decision, how you proceed from here. We are very blessed that our God finally came after all the prophets, all the prophecies has been fulfilled and no more prophet.
