This is confirmation. I've been getting in my own way. The Lord told me, "There is a time to speak, and a time to be silent" and I've been feeling convicted to be quiet and just let the spirit flow. I've been resisting. I have your book on, "How To Hear God" and the part, "Our hearts are loud and can have loads to say, but we have to even put God above what our hearts are saying..." And whoever read this comment, buy the book it is so worth it! Buy it! Thank you, I've been sitting in the prayer closet for seriously 5-6 hours and still feeling maybe somewhat of a peace but it always just leaves and I'm back to worrying or hurting. When you brought up Paul, and how he was locked up... I'm struck. My car broke down. I am a girl ON THE GO and God has been telling me, "Rest and receive" and today, the Holy Spirit told me about how, "Don't force things from the flesh" and I would declare, and yell and I just didn't feel it. I was asking the Holy Spirit two days ago how to pray now because we all know that there is a new way of doing things even in the spirit otherwise the flow will not smooth, so literally this is the second message I am hearing now about learning to be quite in His presence and listen more than talking and talking and talking in His presence in prayer. I feel so strong in my spirit that the church has to learn this way of praying because it is more effective. When you said, It's not over", immediately I was reminded of this. 6 years ago I woke up and found my husband dead, according to medics heart attack. Well later that day as I literally sat on a stool iny closet with the Bible with a confused and broken heart, I got Ruth 3:18 which reads "Sit still my daughter until you learn how the matter turns out." Your word prompted of this verse. I really am not sure why but it did encourage me that it is still not over. I don't mean mourning, mourning is long time over and joy has been gradually restored to me as now I am filled with smiles and laughter. Thank you Jesus. Yesterday I had a job interview and they ask me about how much I'm looking to be paid. I gave them a amount and after the interview, I did research to find out how much the position was paying. I did do research before I told them how much but that was the base pay. It has really been bothering me since yesterday but I feel as though I devalued myself. Like I put in way less then what I'm worth because I didn't want them to think that I set my expectations to high and they decide not to hire me. First, your worth is nothing to do with how much you get paid. You'll get stuck in self-esteem issues if you think it is. So instead, reframe your problem to you 'spoke too soon and underestimated how much you'd like to be paid for the role'. Ok? That brings it back to a professional matter you can discuss with the employer. So, ask God what salary to ask for and then get back to the employer with that amount. Simply say that you've rethought the amount you'd like to get paid and give them the new amount. Do it in a professional way not an emotional way, and do it before they get back to you first, so they realize it's true and not just a reaction to their feedback on your interview. I heard this statement the other day! If the devil can’t stop you he will began to push you!! Like running ahead of God. Last Year in September 2021, the lord told me to keep my sails trimmed but keep the fan unplugged. I was trying too get recognized by asking our local Christian book store to let me set up and do a book signing, I even called the Library, which they said sure, but never could get a date set. And I even hosted a FREE Seminar in a near by town. And 3 other people showed up. And one was the other speaker. Well I was telling God I’m just asking, seeking and knocking. He seen my heart and knew that I was sincerely trying too do my part. But he loved me so much he admonished me and said be still!! So here I am being still. Keeping the fan unplugged. Working in silence, journaling. Asking, seeking and knocking in my prayer closet!!! Thanks Kay for this Word!!
