This argument of NDC against EC is outrageous. Yes, it is true for NDC to claim that Article 42 of Ghana Constitution requires of a voter the evidence of citizenship in order to be registered. Unfortunately, NDC is not able to process this article to understand that, today, the Ghana Card is the unique standardized document to prove the Ghanaian citizenship in Ghana.. It is no longer the old voter's ID, nor driver's license. It is as well not the guarantor's testimony. The proof of Ghanaian citizenship is established with a standardized document or certificate called Ghana Card. The CI of EC now laid before parliament only serves to formalize and make applicable what has already become law with the establishment of the Ghana Card. NDC have no case unless they want to be mischievous or unintelligent.
