You got the fact wrong. Those new QHD "dreamcolor" displays are not 10bit displays. They are only 8 bit displays. It's such a shame that both HP and Dell stopped using 10 bit panels in their top of the line workstations

I really love my Zbook 17 G1, ive used it everyday for almost 4 years with 32gigs ram, 1x 2TB HDD, and 2x 500GB SSD. It has barely aged except for the GPU.

Awesome Review ! By the way yall, some of those HIGH-END features that he mentioned in this vid like the HP Dreamcolor 4K display or the NVIDIA Quadro 5000 has to be bought only through the customizable section on the HP website. Nobody sells it that features those high end add-ons, so its those extra features on top how much you have to pay already which is ALOT ! That part sucks in my opinion.

The top of the line ZBook 17 G4 Xeon m1535 v6 used to cost $7000 back in the day with the high-end configuration. I picked up a mint one for $325! Yeah, the ultimate in quad core mobile workstation computing power! 😊

I imagine all I'd have to do is just pop in the SSD and let the computer do the rest of the work but I want to do it right. My computer has had that empty slot for years and I'm finally out of storage so I'm looking to just shove a Samsung 850 EVO SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD

@@TMan9418 I think that should do it. I think that there were some screws that might of come with it... But not sure you need it. I put a Samsung SSD into my ZBook 17 come to think of it, and just winged it. You should be fine.

Never get a work station for gaming. These things come equipped with GPU designed for industrial use. Such as CAD, Premiere or After effects. As far as I know, this unit comes with Nvidia quadro GPU which is made for industrial use. Go get a gaming laptop if thats your intention.

Eli Suryana that is right and wrong, put it in this way, a 500 dollar gaming gpu will get u lets say 95 percent gaming performance and 50 percent video editing performance and a 500 dollar quadro gpu will get u 95 percent video editing and 50 percent gaming performance. Gaming and video editing have different needs when it comes to a gpu. U can google it if u want for detailed info
