Pros and Cons of All Furby Generations

True, my 2012 Furby still works but sometimes freezes while moving and gets stuck. Also, my Furbacca (which is mechanically a Boom i think) came with motor issues out of the box

I just got my old 1998 furby and 3 2005 furbs from my grandparents house. I missed furbies so much, I'm quite sad to hear that more could have been done, but never did. I'm gonna look for my furby booms when I get the chance, although they definitely broke on the trampoline, I remember that much... also sucks how expensive some of the older ones are now, but that's how it goes

I like the 2005/6 one the most. Too bad, I never noticed it as a little kid, allthough I was obsessed with almost EVERY new toy back then. In 2013, when I was 12, I learned about its existence for the first time ever...

The 2012, booms, and that types is singing on just furbish. But they mix when they talk. The 2012 have a default personality when u buy, but it changes fast. You have to reset the furby to get the default voice (only on 2012)

Oh. I really wish that they had different masks to get different personalitys. I sadly dont have a connect but i wish for one, and hope to get one ☺️ But i hope they start making furbys again, and making :furby ultra connect that are pretty simular, but have different masks to different personalitys.

Well I like the furbys that change personalities, oh and The Furby Connect that they have pretty smooth animated eyes :3 Oh and I aleays wanted a Furbacca, as a Furby Connect, hope one day I can get them. I love my Pink-Purple Furby Boom Crystal Dah-Kah

another con with some Furby booms is that they are very sensitive to sounds and will wake up to anything. I don't know if it's just me but my Furby boom wakes up if you move even slightly

A con I've noticed with several Furby Booms is that the shake sensor is ultra sensitive or just defective and it constantly thinks you're shaking it even if it's sitting completely still.

Out of ALL of them; which is your favorite? Also in your opinion which is best all around? Although the boom or connects no longer have a theatre... are they capable of learning songs through repetition? I had an original baby furby and taught it a nursery rhyme... are the newer ones capable of that? My daughter wants a furby for Christmas... and its been SO long since I've had one... IDK WHAT to get... I didn't even know there were so many different versions or generations. HAHA

I still love the 90s ones best since they "learn" over time and you can play mini games with them. The Connects don't learn songs at all anymore which is really sad because it was a fun feature of them. The newer ones don't learn at all sadly.

Did you know that the one with the Star Wars light personality is the only modern age one to have a special personality and appearance that one is the only modern day special personality outside which is kind of sad I also think that it is kind of sad that they only did three actually for special personalities in the 90s generation if you count Shelby sometimes I wonder do you think that Sina would have been good as a member of the capital F community? Because if they had done that would have been awesome and daffy as well have been nice if he had been a member of the capital F community and now the big question is if you could decide any special personality for a member of the capital F community shield and then be? Who do you think would be best suited as a capital F community member for me it would have been capital SOI and a daffy and Lenny probably if part of this comment looks weird it’s because my dictation is glitching but I would definitely like to know if you think that the 1998 generation should have included more special personalities for current ones and if so which ones would you have like the most if that was the case or do you think that it would be better if there were less special personalities in the 1998 generation and which of the current fourth if you like the most? For me I prefer EF but that is probably because that’s the only one that I have personal experience with I would like to get another one of the special personalities but I don’t know which one I would like to know if you have any recommendations anyways stay safe stay healthy and keep being awesome!

I actually have my own version of the furby. My version of the furby has the body of a 2005/6 with stubby legs and fluffy arms with claws. They have a third eye and various different fur patterns. I love furbies sm

Either works well. The Boom has different personalities depending on how it's treated while the Connect asks for the app but doesn't require it to work well. My favourite is the Connect but it depends on your preference really. I think the Boom does a bit more due to the different personalities. While the Connect works without the app, it did rely heavily on it for new content so maybe the Boom is the way to go.

wow. i had no idea that by hacking the furby connects, people found out that they were made to do more things than they actually can do. and i had no idea that hatchimals basically killed the furby once again. i do remember when hatchimals came out in 2016 but i didn’t think their popularity had to do with furby not being as popular anymore. also, furreal friends wasn’t first released in 2005. yes, they DID release some of them in 2005 like scamps my playful pup, butterscotch pony, etc, but furreal friends released their first animal in 2002, which was a cat. i loved furreal friends as a kid. but now, they aren’t that good anymore. i like when they made their animals realistic and not cartoonish. and they have those stupid “poopalots” and “peealots” nowadays :/

Ah thanks for telling me! Even though they didn't come out in that year, I did read Furreal friends killed off the Furby sales. I think Hasbro thought by making Furby more real, it could compete with them. I guess not. Someone posted a pooping turtle robot on a robot group I'm in, I kinda weep for today's kids. Pretty sure they're not all obsessed with toilet activity.

ohhhh that’s pretty interesting. that also could be why the 2005 furby didn’t do so well (i don’t really like the 2005 furby lol i wouldn’t get one myself). your welcome! yeah i noticed that the toys of today aren’t that good and some of them are really weird and cringy. plus a ton of toys are just full of surprise/mystery toys (like those LOL Surprise things which i also dislike and don’t understand why they are so popular). i think ur talking about that “gotta go turtle” or something. there is a “gotta go flamingo” as well and those things are freaking weird and like WTF

Its a shame hatchimals were more popular than Furby Connects. I had a hatchimal and although the whole caring for it when its an egg and watching it hatch is cool, other than that they're not really as advanced as Furby Connects. Its very easy to get them to the last stage of developing and then there's nothing new that you can do with them, whereas furby connects could move around more, could connect to an app, had expressive eyes, could learn new songs etc. Hatchimals just do so much less.
