Pros and cons of becoming an NDIS provider

Hi everyone and welcome back to another video,
Today I am talking about the pros and cons of becoming an NDIS provider, people think to start that you have to be NDIS audited but this is not the case.
Con number 1 - Costly
Con number 2 - Time consuming
Con number 3 - Less market reach
Con number 4 - Any big changes you need to be audited again
Con number 5 - If you don't get audited now and you will in the future, it is better to do it at the start.
Pro number 1 - Trustworthy
Pro number 2 - Legally meeting requirements
Pro number 3 - Stop bad habits from being developed
Pro number 4 - Gives you structure
Pro number 5 - Frees up time to better serve participants (it says 6 in the video whoops)

He's my question: Why do old support workers stalk the clients they use to work for Fully aware of past conflict of interest stalking me On social media. Call us really wants to see us , with in an hr Comes over with gifts s strategies of vulnerable manipulation , asking us to join their ancey without the coordinator guardianships knowledge involved with this new opportunity This behaviour is disgusting They are fully aware my husband has high needs, and they know hes big money!! Im so done with these sorts of behaviours

How can others be approved and trusted in the support woker role ? life skills I have seen others Some don't know how to cook and clean Redirect high needs in mental health Regulating emotional feelings communication skills are lacking How do others get away with the requirements in this role Some of them lie about this Which affects clients' growth and support

I know I'm a little late to your comment, but I agree completely with your comment. Experience should mean observation under colleagues and peers - not just the amount of time you have spent in the industry. It took me 25 years of being in this industry before I felt I had the industry knowledge to become a sole trader. There has been a lean towards hiring people with computer skills as opposed to empathy and understanding in this industry, because the admin is so full on, that the industry standard has slipped hugely in my years unfortunately.

Because some support workers are only in it for the money, they may not genuinely care about their clients. It's plainly evil. So they lie

Im having trouble with getting an ABN do i tick that we are providing commerical services as a sole trader?

ABN is the easy part... For any business it should be sorted in 15-60min. Just get a general one and then use it for anything not employed. NDIS is complicated though

It's just for tax and being known essentially. Don't overthink abn. Just get a number
