I loved what you had to say about cloth diapering. I am definitely considering it! First time mumma over here and trying to learn as much as I can before baby arrives!!! Lol

Started cloth diapering two weeks ago. So far so good. One thing that I highly can relate in your video is about financial freedom. Husband and I both work stressful jobs and we can't do this until we're 65. Every hundred counts toward buying our time and freedom. :)

They have cloth diapers specifically for night! Or what I do for my heavy wetter is double stuff his diaper.

Thank you so much for doing this, I recently went back to cloth diapering my 7 month old and 2 year and I feel so different now about it. How do you feel about going out in cloth?? How do you know how many to bring ?? I read is 1 for every hour is that correct?

I'm fine going out in cloth. The only times I don't is for long car rides and anytime I put her in tights. I just feel like it's way too much bulk with tights. I always keep 1 cloth and 2-3 disposables in my purse at all times. Most of the time I'm not gone long enough to even change her. If I am, it's usually just 1 diaper. I will use the cloth first and I almost never use the disposables they are just backup. This is for typical 1-3 hour trips. A full day would be different though and I would bring 8 or so just to be safe. It really depends on the kid though. My baby's 9 months and is not a super heavy wetter during the day and she never poops when were out and about. 🤷

Thank you so much, I don’t do cloth at night I feel like it’s not absorbing enough. I cloth during the day and when I go and know I will be returning soon.

@@mrschrissyg.5955 Yeah we don't do cloth at night either. I feel like disposables are so great for that!

How much more did you spend on your water, electric, and detergent bills when you switched to cloth?
@blushblossoms677

We have a well so water wasn't any more. I didn't notice any significant increase in the electric either. I don't use the dryer for them and it's only 2-3 loads a week so not a big deal. As far as detergent goes I honestly didn't notice any difference either. Obviously it was a little bit but 2-3 loads a week wasn't enough for me to notice it.

@@blushblossoms677 okay so 2.5 loads a week is 130 more loads a year...I guess that would be x# more of detergents and I haven’t found anything on the amount of electricity for the washer and dryer and things vary there too but my best guess is $260. So maybe $280 more per year...maybe?

@@weldonservicegroup6962 That's probably a good estimate I think it really depends on your situation though? For me our electric was so cheap like $50-$60 a month so it may have gone up a few dollars a month and I wouldn't really notice it. For detergent I probably bought 1-2 more a year so I didn't really notice that cost either. In my situation I would guess more like $50-$70 a year in additional cost. I also never use hot water for mine and that could affect your cost as well. Like it said it's really hard to estimate. Sorry I can't be of more help!

@@blushblossoms677 I found another video with estimates and it seems that on average it comes down to personal preferences as there are so many variables that cost alone is nearly negligible. The calculations showed $550 additional per year for water, electric, and detergent....best get potty training to save with those calculations! Lol Thanks for your input!!

@UCuT_ynHph3rvofud86ugYUA Aren't cloth diapers better because they to be regarded as looking cuter on babies?
This mother's baby is too unreliable.
