What an awesome video. I have completed a BS, MA, Law school, and various licences and see certifications. I think this is great information, my problems were all 3-4 years as I worked full-time during my training. I wish I had shared the pros and cons of my journey.

Hey! I also graduated this year with my Master's degree during a pandemic!! Girl, looking for employment is hard during this time but I know God will provide! I love your video because you are spot on about graduate school. I didn't realize how stressed I felt during grad school. I finished my Master's in a year and two semesters than my classmates. I am considering UPenn for my doctorates in Higher Education. I would like to know your perspectives about the pros and cons of attending an Ivy League, or public university for graduate school?
@ToddFamily14 жыл бұрын
Looking for employment was a whole battle in itself lol. In terms of whether or not you should attend an Ivy League or public university, I say prioritize the schools that would be the best fit for you. It honestly depends on what you're looking for such as your area of focus, location, price, etc. An Ivy League will always carry the prestige/access but it may be too much of a financial sacrifice to make. It depends on your needs! I'll definitely consider making a video on it and I wish you the best in your search!

@@ToddFamily1 Thanks for responding and your inputs as well!! Please do make a video on it because I haven't seen anyone talking about the difference between either institution! Also, I'm Haitian as well and I'm glad to see more of us doing great things!

Here is some advice folks, going to an Ivy league (IL) college/grad school means nothing anymore and neither does it guarantee any sort of success. The antiquated thinking of having such a degree will do x and y has been turned upside down with all that has transpired with technology and the watering down of the education system. If you are going to these schools hoping that you will make bank or that you will have a leg up on others, then you are in for a rude awakening, times have changed. Save your money, run from debt and don't be another average person that went to a pricey school with nothing to show for it but a $25 sweatshirt with your school logo or mascot. A good example is my nephew was accepted to Yale on a crew scholarship , instead he dropped out after a semester used remainder of his tuition to start a business, 6 years ago he sold off his company to Oracle and now he is on to real estate development, living an amazing life. Find what you love, do it and make the world a better place. IL universities only stifles creativity and saddle you with debt.

College overall being watered down due to oversaturation of college students actually /makes/ the specific college you go to all the more important, as it helps you stand out from the average person. It isn’t antiquated thinking; your chances of success are not guaranteed, yet are significantly higher by gaining some title of prestige to put on a resume. You are lying to yourself if you think otherwise
