Pros and Cons of Lexington, South Carolina. Moving to South Carolina!

My wife and I are considering moving to Lexington from NH. We plan on visiting the area next month to get a real feel, but are curious to hear from someone there. I’m a automotive mechanic and was wondering how busy the shops typically are, or even what pay is like. Is it a safe area? Also, how’s the night life there and in the surrounding areas?

Sorry I am just seeing this! Did you end up visiting? If you did visit you probably saw there are a good amount of mechanic shops throughout the area, my opinion is they always seem busy and with the amount of people moving here those shops will probably get busier. In terms of night life it's more on the quiet side since we are more of the burbs compared to downtown Columbia. However, Main Street in Lexington is starting to get built up. A taco and tequila restaurant just opened, a wine bar, and sushi place are opening soon. There are also a handful of bars throughout Lexington. One thing to keep in mind if the proximity to other cities as well for a fun weekend like Charlotte, Charleston, and Greenville. Hope this helps and again, sorry I am just now replying! Moved from Portland Oregon to Lexington 6 months ago. We love it here, nice area, super nice people. Great location close to everything. Very safe area with low crime. Highly recommended 😊
