Pros and cons of living in a tiny East Village NYC apartment

Here's what a $3700 rent buys you in New York City's vibrant East Village neighborhood: 330 square feet, exposed brick walls, a kitchen without an oven and an unbeatable NYC location. I'll miss lots of things about this apartment but looking forward to moving out of lower Manhattan to Brooklyn for some more space.

From watching many NYC apartment videos, I've learned that some people will live in a cardboard carton and pay outrageous rents if it is the right location. I've seen lovely apartments for much less money that are only one or two subway stops from this one, but they aren't in a hot neighborhood.
