I lived in Clarksville. Honestly, I don’t recommend IF you’re going to be in the more “rough” areas. It isn’t safe. Point blank. Especially if you’re a woman living alone, or have children. If you live in the more well kept and patrolled areas you should be okay. Google the street name, and the brief surround areas to learn if there was any shootings, crime rate ect. That’s important. The closer you are to Austin P. The more dangerous it is. There was a shooting at a football game recently. Heart breaking. So Stay safe. :)

There are a few sketchy areas, but compared to most urban areas, Clarksville is pretty safe, unless you are out trying to stir stuff up

My youngest son lives in Clarksville, but southern Kentucky around Russellville - just across the state line - is cheaper to live.

As a perosn born and raised here, it has shitty public transport almost jo sidewalks , the power grid and roads arent not ready for the growth that is currently happening, power goes out every other thunderstorm and it is a reitred military and farmer town still so people like to drive slow / 5 under the speed limit so more accidents are happening from city folk moving in trying to drive they way they do where they originally lived. Im not trying to hate on city folk but seriously its not built for disabled people or people without cars. Also they are rampently building crappy townhouses everywhere that should not be passing inspection becuase they just wanna sell sell, sell they dont care about you or your family.

No. Unless you are ex military or active duty, no. Cops are text book ' good'ol boys'. As soon as my elderly mother passes, i will never set foot in the blackhole of Clarksville Tennessee. It truly sucks out loud.

This guy doesn't know Clarksville. Summer is hot AF. We have several periods of 100⁰ days. July and August are especially brutal. Make sure you have a strong HVAC system. December thru March it's like the frozen tundra. Drops below zero. We don't usually get much snow, but it's friggin cold. If you're leaving California, Chicago, St Louis or wherever, please remember why you're leaving and vote accordingly. Y'all move here and then vote to change everything. Wtf. No, we don't have a state income tax, however our sales tax is 9%. Shit is expensive. The housing market has exploded, which these realtors love, however the people who have been living here, can't afford to pay three times what we were paying for rent/mortgage. Just please don't keep moving here and changing everything to fit the place you just left. All the people moving from big cities are bringing more crime. More drugs. More guns. It's becoming more and more unsafe. Drive by shootings are becoming a real issue. My neighborhood has always been a safe, quiet, decent place to live... But it's becoming less and less safe. We hear gunshots at least once a week now. Also, affordable housing is pretty much non-existent at this point. Hearing him actually say... 335k is too expensive for the locals, but cheap for the people moving here... Y'all don't see how effed up that is?? Yeah, keep coming here, but don't expect it to be the same town in a few years. It's going to be just like the city you left. PS... They did recently raise taxes here, and it might not be a big deal for him or his wealthy clients, but it is a big deal for people on fixed incomes. Talk about the lack of public transportation and sidewalks and traffic...

Well I'm from California and moved to Clarksville. The problem with people moving from California is way they vote typically they vote Democrat. Look at how well the state of Tennessee operates with the exception of Nashville. And Memphis. Democrat strongholds. Well I don't like taxes really don't like California with all the homelessness and crazy politics the woke attitudes it's all coming to Clarksville people are moving in here from all over the United States changing demographics value systems. I'm originally from Mississippi then I moved to California. Typically when places become Democrat taxes goes up crime goes up we've already got enough crime. The right to defend yourself goes away
