Ive been at my house for about 2 years now and i agree the equity has shot up. The house did look old but with upgrades and the amount of space we got i love it. The neighborhood was new for me because we have gotten into the habit of purchasing christmas gifts for our neighbors which is something i never did growing up in SF valley.

So glad you enjoy your neighborhood. And that is the community life a lot of people are in search of here in California and it looks like Santa Clarita is one of the few areas that provides that.

I’m 19 and I’ve been living here for about 13 years, it’s pretty boring city, quiet people quiet neighborhoods. So if you like a quiet lifestyle this is the perfect place, great golf courses and amazing dog parks

Left SC in 2021 to go to the East Coast and miss it a lot. Good schools and quiet - for the most part. Sold the home and wish I didn’t! When we lived there is when the school shooting happened at Saugus HS. We were shocked. Other than that, it was a great place. I was always considered about the prison that was close by.

I’m renting in Bridgeport & have to agree about everything you say on this video! I don’t want to drive to Costco & the weather is beautiful. Unfortunately my husband and I are not VA but looking to buy in the next year or so! God willing!

I’m planning to moved to Santa Clarita how’s the job down there? I work in the health care industry. Santa Clarita is prone to wildfire thats the reason housing is cheaper but how about the home insurance?

Wildfires are more prevalent in Santa Clarita and the fire insurance does vary depending on the positioning of the home but does not offset the cost. Jobs in the healthcare industry will be in the San Fernando Valley, the neighboring valley. Not to say it’s non existent but there is one hospital, Kaiser medical offices and other medical offices sprinkled throughout the valley.

Sorry I missed this! We have some coyotes, the very rare mountain lion and bear but again, very rare. other than that, its a desert, not much lives out here.

Santa clarita is a very little place up in the hills.but honestly wayyy to much traffic down to burbank and very expensive.iam glad i left california less stress and happier.😊
