I'm from OKC and the Best thing about living in Nichols hills is everything is Right there. You dont have to leave the area too get anything. But the police are diabolical there, don't get pulled over because your getting some tickets.

Yes! I live 1 street north of Nichols Hills in the Village, and I do love the convenience of this area in general. But yes, the police don't play around if you get pulled over there 🤣

Nichols hills is losing some of its uniqueness. For some reason there is no longer uniformity in building new homes. A mix of french , english, stocco, southwest, contemporary homes going up. He is spot on about the cops they don't play.

What street in Nichols Hills has homes that aren’t unique? I see parts of NH suburban but not NH.

@bigboionabike5234 if you had seen the area say 20 years ago you would understand my post. What's happened there is wealthy people wanting to move in bought up some of the older properties torn them down and built larger houses that were not like the rest of the existing homes and you can clearly see the contrast between old and new homes. It's like a street with normal looking brick exterior homes where one sells then gets torn down and replaced with a stucco home it with stand out and change the character of that street then another one sells and maybe it's an art deco home. Long time residents I talk to notice what's going on and some just don't like the interrupted flow. If they sold an entire street and a builder like Jeff Click came in and built his usual modern contemporary style homes on the lots that's fine because they'd all be the same style some larger than others . I remember a mansion on Avondale Dr sold around 2002 for 1.4 million. The remodeled it added a 4 car detached garage with a mother in law residence above it and spent over 2 million doing all of it more importantly they left the exterior the same just repainted the trim.We ain't all rolling in the chips like that.
