I think every denomination has the pros and cons, and yes Jesus Christ is going to come back for those who will remain faithful to him, whatever religion you are in, and I'm a seventh day Adventist.

I’m so thankful that you guys are studying everything out for yourselves! There are certainly faults, but it’s the church I have found, in my personal study, to be the closest Biblically, to what God states in the 10 Commandments. Anything run by man, however, is going to have its issues! Just make sure you keep coming back to Pisgah to see us! I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to see your face and meet your husband at your honor year!!! Third weekend of April, every year!!!

23:09 Thank you for saying this! I was taught not only that jewelry is a sin, but also that it “attracts evil spirits.” I no longer believe that way, but used to be scared to wear jewelry for that reason. Spiritual abuse is very traumatizing.

I'm not a Seventh Day Adventist. I'm a Baptist and these pros and cons were very informative. So proud of you guys for taking the time to get closer to God via the Bible and not someone's opinion. Baptist churches have pros and cons also, mainly when they steer from God's word and what it really says. Love you!!! ❤✝❤

Hi Sheyenne, I am impressed that you have taken the time to search the scriptures like the " Bereans". I have noted that most of your complaints are hinged on lifestyle issues, rather than doctrinal issues with the church. I am praying that God will meet you at your point of need. You are growing spiritually. I am glad that your positive experiences with SDA church seem to outweigh the negative experiences. If you have children where would you send them to get the types of experiences that grounded you as a beautiful christian?

You have made a great point. I personally feel that I would send them to Seventh Day Adventist institutions because of the diet and their reverence on taking time for a Sabbath with the Lord. It is enriching when you can meet other Sabbath keepers. You don’t feel like you are all alone on your Christian walk.

However, as of late, I think I might want to homeschool my kids. That seems to be where I am leaning more towards.

@@ColesofFire Hi Shyenne, Happy Sabbath from Onicha-Ngwa, ABA, South East, Nigeria again. Home schooling is great. From my experience, it takes a lot of sacrifice from husband, & wife. Income stretching, discipline, love of teaching, etc. You will never regret the outcome of your hard labor. Another added benefit of being an Adventist is worldwide network of fellow Adventist that guarantees your safety wherever you go. Just try, & attend one General Conference Camp meeting, & experience the night of nations. You will surely feel that you are in the company of saved sinners by the grace of God. Keeping the Sabbath is our reciprocation of God's infinite mercy and love for us. The Sabbath gives me a peace of mind as I know that I am walking in God's will. Have a great weekend. Now you have a sincere Adventist friend in East Nigeria walking in faith towards heaven looking at Jesus, & not human beings, all of us in need of a savior.

Hi Henry! Great question, apparently from what I looked up, they did come from the Adventist movement in the late 1800’s, so there are a lot of similarities.
