The cost of the hobby ain’t even that bad. I work 7 days a week, don’t waste money on booze or going out drinking, and budget myself w the hobby. The biggest con is maybe I smell better than everyone else and maybe it makes them feel like shit. 😂😂😂

The only cons I can think about is… prices, maybe a reaction to notes or ingredients, too many scents to pick from, too many drops within a year. And a few others I can think off the top

Great video brother! And congratulations on the 200th video... my boy putting in the work! I think the only real con to wearing fragrances is not knowing how people will react to them. Like you said, pregnant women are sensitive. And then your fragrance might trigger a memory in someone else... I was wearing Profoundo one time and sat next to this girl at the DMV. She had a whole breakdown and started crying and got up and ran to the bathroom. I asked the people around me if I was strong or something, and most of them couldn't even smell me. When she came out the bathroom I asked if she was OK, and she told me she was but that her abusive ex used to wear Profoundo and it triggered her. Even with that con though, you gotta do what you like to do and what makes you happy! Things happen!

The nostalgia point is for real bro. I’ve programmed certain fragrances to seasons and holidays, and even associate them with people and images. I get a lot of moments where the fragrance takes me somewhere in my mind. Most of the time fragrance keeps me present though and functions as a mantra. It is a way of simply being in the moment and appreciating the beauty of the smell.

Not really a pro or a con in general but I suppose if it had to be lumped into pro..if your going into a place or situation that may spell bad news or not be so great.. always have a fragrance in your collection that you don't find bad..but you also don't find it that appealing either..in other words..if you didn't ever wear it again you wouldn't care..reason I bring this up is you kinda talked about bad memories with fragrances..well one of my cats have an issue going on with her..if it's bad news..I don't want a bad memory attached to a fragrance I love..some may think that's being selfish..it's not..I'm just thinking ahead.

From personal experience, I was followed at Walmart by two ladies. They were following over isles until one of them complimented me, and both complimented me and asked me what I was was wearing.... I was wearing 3 spritz of Afnan 9 PM with 1 spritz of Ambroxan. Then one time at work I was wearing half a spritz of 9 PM..... Then, this miserable (literally) land whale moaned, "I CAN SMELL YOU YOU OVER HERE! CAN YOU WEAR LESS COLOGNE! AND also, KAREN DOESN'T LIKE COLOGNE either." I was like, what? Just to have her repeat herself. The next day I showed up with 6 sprays of 9 PM. I was like, "girl S T F U". She stinks up the whole place with Indian curry, pop corn, or sea food. Amd sometimes she comes in smelling like sage (it smells like burnt trash). I was like, I don't even want to go there. My whole collection is extremely well curated, and highly complimented. One time I did my 6 sprays of Afnan 9 AM Deep Dive, and 6 hours later. I "couldn't" smell anything. I was down to the heart notes of incense, cedar, and apple.... And this woman comes in IT SMELLS SO GOOD IM HERE! Then, she starts sniffing me and says IT'S YOU! She truly made my day. I'm not the type of person that believes "expensive equals better"... Case in point Santal 33 the first I smelled it, it smelled really good, but the "freshness" that I thought smelled good didn't compute on my brain. Then, I bought the clone, Cremo Palo Santo..... It smells identical. Then, I was able to deconstruct and pin-point the "freshness".... Dill, dill pickles. Just smelling makes my stomach feel "cool" as if I ate a cold pickle. I just gave the bottle the away. And it does (OG) smell like dilled pickles on other people. And I have no idea what it is. Is it the violet leaf? Because Sandalwood smells nothing like it, I have sandalwood incense sticks (floral, creamy, smooth, sweet, and powdery). I bought Kaff by Ahmed Al Magribbi... The final note is sandal wood (floral, creamy, smooth, sweet and powdery). Even Dove sells a soap bar with sandalwood and cardamom, and the scent is floral, creamy, smooth, sweet and powdery. I swear, if you tell Santal 33 wearers that, they will start to pick up that "fresh" note as dill (dill pickles).
